This has been me too. I went to therapy for this and I was told I have an all or nothing mentality to this too. I made small changes over time, stopped buying snacks on the weekly shop, started shopping at Ocado because they have a lot more choice of healthy items I prefer. I am the same with chocolate. I try to just buy a small bar like the little cadbury bars or put cacao into smoothies. I started eating a lot worse during the lockdowns and everything went downhill from there and I think that's the same for a lot of people. Once you start feeling better it's motivation to keep going. I also stopped thinking that skinny = healthy. I am overweight now and feeling bad about it doesn't motivate me - it just makes me want to eat more so I have worked on setting my goals around health and feeling good. There are some overweight people who eat healthier and move more than some thin people so it's not a true indicator of health.

Hey dude. I think we are quite similar with our issues. Both very sensitive. Both very intuitive. Both get a bit carried away with seeking the most fitting label and bouncing around between different ideas. Hopefully we can figure things out one day 🤞

By the end of the week on Friday when I got home, I was so burnt out it was all I could do to order a pizza for delivery and grab a coke out of the fridge. I enjoyed every bite of it in front of the tv too! lol.
Life is too short to deprive yourself of some goodies every now and again, but everything in moderation is key.
Smoothies have been my go-to in the morning... almond milk, banana, walnuts, blueberries, seeds, cinnamon or whatever you have at the time. If I'm running late, pour into a cup and drink on the way!
Nutrition is very important, I agree, but snacks are my downfall for sure... Doritos, Pringles, Granola bars, (not too bad), & I crave chocolate... Don't get me started on the Magnum double chocolate ice cream bars! 😋
For lunch I kind of eat like a toddler, I pack apple sauce & a peanut butter sandwich and potato chips. Not too bad, but not great either. I'm definitely trying to be more disciplined, but it is not easy🥴

That morning smoothie sounds really nice.

At the end of the day, it comes down to emotions. I can't regulate my emotions, I don't know how to process them or express them properly. I use the food and caffeine to feel 'happy' and 'normal'. There's a feeling of dread and a void when thinking of giving them up.

Stefan, I hope you make some "what I eat in a day "type of videos. People can always use encouragement to eat more healthy ! And by the way, you could be a talk show host or something similar 😊 You are such an interesting person and you can be so funny, maybe even without trying ? 😊 I'm sorry you feel so exhausted. That gets really depressing after awhile😢

I'm 45 and was told I'm "prediabetic". That scared me. Depression made me tired.
