Great episode gents. Enjoying a vid that isn’t about how many things you can break on your vehicle. This is what 4WDing is about in my opinion - exploring, history and spending time with your mates.
Ah! the memories. 2017. Ernie pulled up in his 4wd right near scrutineering so after all the rubber neckers & camera crews left, I went to say G'Day. He was such a genuine bloke, we sat on his tailgate just having a general chin wag about speedweek & of course the location (it's a place I hold dear to my heart) I would have loved to have cracked a tinnie with him after hours just to "chew the fat" but of course they were filming for a show so they only called in for an arvo then left to carry on with their trip.
Speed Week 2023 rained Monday night, 12mm deep lake Tues morning, racing again Thur arvo! Gawler Ranges fantastic, Coffin Bay fish for novices like me, Mt Ive Station has the roughest, nontechnical, first gear crawl I have met. seems to be crossing the top of a buried organ pipe formation.

Thanks mate! We 100% agree. We call it - Touring not trashing

Ernie is one of the best! Glad you both got to have a chat
