The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! Also Maddie got extra private dance classes every year she was in the team, and other girls also usually got more time and training than Nia, i feel like Abby really just didn't want Nia to be better than the others

And Abby is racist. She admitted her ignorance, said she apologised for her behaviour and how it impacted the girls ie. Nia/Cameron and others watching the show. She said she hoped to change and be a better person etc..
Cameron's mother said she doesn't accept the apology though because she had never apologised to her or her daughter personally.
So just that behaviour/ignorant thinking alone.. Nia was overlooked from day 1.
Let's not add in all of the additional negative treatment on top of that. Personally, I feel Nia has incredible strength, self respect and talent to deal with her treatment. I really admire her ability at as a young girl to young woman to mentally handle it all.
She stood her ground with class, style and talent.

@Naisha Metelus why would Abby give Nia better choreography if she can’t even handle what she has now. Kalani should have won anyway. It was a competition judged by kids so they obviously like a fun no technique dance better than a mature gorgeous technique dance like Kalanis
@@jmedeiros123 Abby constantly gave nia less than the other girls: both training and choreography wise. Abby never gave her the tools to succeed and the few times when nia got good choreography, she won.

But also nia persevered against constantly being left out or being type casted for her dances. At the end of the day, you seem very adamant to bring her down, which speaks to your character.
The fact that Abby was so surprised that Nia won is very telling of the fact that she set her up to fail with this solo. Glad Nia proved her wrong.
and it also shows abby's lack of talent when Dr. Holly Hatcher-Frazier from a different field of expertise could thwart the plan.

The choreography wasn't the best, Abby clearly didn't want Nia to win, but her energy was ASTOUNDING. I couldn't keep my eyes off her! The moves were simple, but she made them look so cool!

She is! I always notice how Jessalynn is also happy and pleased when one of the girls wins, no matter who, so she's raised Jojo to follow suit and both are graceful with it. I saw an episode where Jojo placed third and someone else (Maddie or Kendall, I think) placed first, and both Jess and Jojo were clapping and smiling for the other!

Nia has ALWAYS been my favorite, even tho every opportunity she was set up to fail, she thrived in her dancing. Never complained, never cried like the other girls who had more opportunities. And her mother is the most elegant woman there. They deserved better.

Nia's Dance was on point and different I love it. I think the judges get bored at seeing lyrical and contemporary dances and when they see a well executed jazz dance of course it is going to win and that is what Nia brought!

She is racist in more ways than one. If you want the full evidence check out the racism videos on MackZBoss’s Dance Moms uncovered. She wasn’t just racist towards Nia, but she went through a lot of it.
She said that she didn’t understand why Camryn’s feet were white at the bottom and brown at the top and she said to another black dancer that she didn’t want any Tooties on her team MackZBoss did an episode Racism episode on her channel.

@Maja 90% of Nia’s solos were ethnic based, some not even hers. She wasn’t given the chances the other girls were given due to her race. If she was white she wouldn’t have been given those dances. Yeah some of them were good etc. the Maya Angelou dance but she wasn’t given other styles of dance like the other girls were.
I honestly think kalini performed amazingly, her technique and the way she moves is absolutely amazing. but nia has attitude and confidence as she should slay

You know it so sad that Nia watched every movie she was assigned to, she played fairly, And was constantly compared to everyone on the show, she always placed low because everyone got longer time to rehearse, and when she finally wins Abby is angry because her goody two she’s Kalani didn’t win for once in her life and she has been doing everything she could since season one and has been on the top of the pyramid the least and it’s so ironic how she went through everything with a smile on her face

She is definitely a racist in my opinion. She down graded Nia constantly. I was suprised her mom let Nia stay. Abby was brutal and disrespectful to the parents and their children! I am glad that show is off the air but, they are still showing the old shows!
The fact that Nia’s music video included people from so many walks of life and was so inclusive just goes to show how amazing her and Holly are!
I love this episode Nia shut them down 🎉. Holly kept her composure and professionalism, and so did Nia. She did not allow that evil woman to make her SHED not one tear!!! And I love the next episode when Holly stepped to Abby and made it clear “oh no, you’re not railroading and lying to my child again!!!!!!!!”

I honestly stand by the fact that Nia DESERVED first place because she KILLED IT! The fierce emotions and the way she took over that stage made it a lot stronger than Kalani’s even though Abby tried to limit Nia’s choreography.

It really upsets me how abby (and the moms and girls sometimes) treated nia. Abby gave Nia horrible choreography that never showcased her full talent, sometimes they were set up to fail. Even this one. By the way, no one was ever happy for Nia whenever she got to do a concert or music video, or another big opportunity.
I felt bad for Nia because she was actually a very good dancer but never got to have her talent showcased and was often the mistreated and underdog. She most definitely deserved better.

It's so ✨ lovely ✨ how Abby gives Nia bad choreography and doesn't include anything she can actually do (needle, turns, much more) and Nia just put her heart and soul into it and was like: look and learn :)

@@lauranoble287 no she won because although kid judges do look for the basic techniques that everyone does they’re all about performance factor, that’s why depending on the energy, dance, and the way it’s performed you can almost predict who’s gonna get scored good. So Nia had out performed Kalani due to her dance

JoJo has always been the biggest supporter for everyone inside and out of the dance studio. She SHOWS UP for those girls. Love her.
To me Nia was one of the best dancers to give face. Whatever routine she got, she gave a different facial expression every time. It was a shame she never got enough solos to showcase her skill.

Nia is such an inspiration. She not only never gave up through all those years, the pressure of the show, the abuse and sabotage from Abby, but just put her head down and kept working as hard as she could, despite rarely getting any glory. But in the end, her technique finally improved & paired with her great performance skills, she finally won at nationals. Who would have thought? To go through all that as a child and still come out so grounded and kind (who could ever forget her comforting Lily after she came second?), is just mind blowing. Holly is so grounded & obviously that contributed a lot to Nia developing a really strong mental constitution. I know she was never going to be a dancer who would be good enough for a dance career..but it doesn’t matter. She’s been on Broadway, a TV show and has her music. I mean not many people get a public tweet from Beyoncé! She’s a success because she’s happy, and she’s able to work in the performing arts. I’m so happy for her, she deserves every great opportunity that comes her way. She has more than earned it.

It’s so upsetting that Holly, as amazing as she is, subjected Nia to such mistreatment for years. No one truly poured into Nia to help her tap into her full potential.
Nia wanting to stay was her own choice.
Holly told her (Nia) that if she wanted to leave, they would. It was Nia who got to decide.
They also wanted to prove to Abby that they wouldn’t give up.
I'm sorry but they just couldn't leave. The contracts were set for a good 7/8 years and her leaving could just risk her lives and her children. And dance was already expensive enough for tuition, leaving will be too much. And yes Holly is an amazing mother but please don't make it seem lik she put her through all of it.

I always hated how Abby would type cast all of Nia’s solos or leads.
If you notice- holy was the only one who didn't get in drama with anyone- she's the only one who stayed loyal and never argued with the other moms-
She would be sometimes in a fight, but she never started one

@@alanak.1838 That's the problem, she was not ALWAYS right like when Nikaya joined the team and when she was getting called racial derogatory slurs by Kelly and Christ she didn't stand up for her. And when she confronted Holly about it she said to not use her ethnicity yet when other mothers like Jill talk bad about Nia she gets all up for it. Holly can never be right, she can sometimes be in the wrong.
Duh if she were to fight the same way Kelly, Christy, Cathy did she would be called ghetto, rachet, unclassy, and given passive aggressive ways to describe her as a black woman who argues. Pretty much like Black Patsy
