- Hello everyone!! Today I wanted to try out some new makeup while chatting about what’s been on my mind :) You guys know that I love to keep my channel a positive place where we can chat about makeup- however, with recent events I wanted to share a bit of what’s been on my heart. I know I’ll never be able to find the perfect words to express how I feel, but it felt right for me to try. I want you to know that you are loved and that you are worthy! To my Black followers, your lives matter. We are all created equal and I stand by you as my brothers and sisters. I LOVE you. I hear you. I’m here for you. I am committed to BE better and DO better to proactively support you. I’m SO thankful for you- you’ve inspired me to speak up and stand up for what’s right. I’m with you!! I hope you all enjoy this video and I hope you have a wonderfil day! xoxo

I recommend that you do a full face of black owned makeup brands to showcase that it should not be just black people buying from these brands, but everyone!
Yes!!!!!
That is such a good idea!! I would love to see a video about that!! 💜
Yes! #blacklivesmatter
Good Idea
this is a great idea!
I’m so glad to see my favorite influences using their platforms to spread the word to an anti-racism world. Thank you for that, Allie!
Thank YOU! 😘
Lauren Jade Beauty yeah because god forbid she actually cares, grow up. If you don’t agree, don’t comment.
BLM and Antifa are run by extremely left people / satanists ( sorry but its true) people like George Soros and Hilary Clinton give it SO much money .... I love listening to Cancade Owens and Prager U... Ben Shapiro....Officer Tatum.... when it comes to racism ..... I truly dont think America is a racist country...( not to say 1 in a million people arent out there) I am not sure where this weird "white guilt "is coming from.... people like Dr. Ben Carson came from poverty to now being an extremely successful doctor... he believed he could go further in life instead of feeling like a victim of his circumstances ..... first, Planned Parenthood kills more black children in NYC THAN ARE BORN ... truly disgusting statistic.... so black Americans are killing themselves with abortion and CRIME... though the black community is only 13%of American, they are over 40%of crime 😥 many are fatherless, or have a father in jail and many WANT to live off welfare.... their community needs to believe in themselves and rise up out of a victim mentally and stop voting democratic... BLM on their website are anti police .... people need to listen to voices like Candace Owens... she has a show on RUclips... please check her out and listen to her show
Sweet clouds you just referred to people running a movement whose goal is to stop senseless killing as satanists. Look no further than yourself to see racism in America (not sorry and it is true). It’s wonderful to see more and more people stand up against garbage like what you’re spewing. There’s a big problem and you’re part of it. Thankfully the majority of people are trying to be part of the solution.
@@carriea5637 wow, you need to learn about BLM , sure people that dont know think it's a good organization but it's not, they are ANTI POLICE , I'm seeing today in the news they say they want a war on police, they are insane , if people want to support the black community fine , but stop using the hash tag BLM AGAIN its run by the Democratic party , go learn about it ok to be wrong , so many online get a sassy and mad .....calm down and be humble and learn from people like Officer Tatum and Candace Ownes WHO COME FROM THE BLACK COMMUNITY
I think one of biggest things we can do today, right now, is start a conversation with our children. If you are a parent, talk to your kids about kindness, compassion, respect, unity, and finally racial issues as is appropriate for a kids age. One of the biggest ways to truly effect change is to influence the attitude of the next generation.
I think that’s so important. I agree with you 100%! Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️
I completely agree! We are not born with hatred/racism in our hearts.. 💕
@Ashley Auber-Porter well said and same here. Everything has always been on the table with my kid's, besides dinner😂 I just don't know any other way. Wish I had a magic wand and make things better. Take carw💚✌
Agreed!!! I don’t have children yet but was talking with my husband about making sure we are STRONG in this conversation and keep a tender heart, to train ourselves to be worldly compassionate parents. Love all of what you’re saying and the action you’re taking
You are so right! Like almost everything else, hate is taught... We're not born with it. We need to teach love, not hate.
Your words were perfect. Thank you for just trying to understand. It means everything. Thank you for the conversation, thank you for listening and that you for your respect. You are appreciated.
Hi Allie! It's indigenous history month so I thought it might be nice to see a RUclipsr with your influence use some native owned makeup brands! I would really appreciate it and I'm sure other women would be positively impacted by seeing their culture appreciated! Some brands are Kamâmak, Indigenous cosmetics and Cheekbone Beauty (which donates a portion of its profits to indigenous communities!)
Thank you so much, I love your videos and hop you are staying safe :)
I love this idea and I hope to see it in the near future.
Wonderful idea...multiculturalism is the future!
what a lovely idea!!!
Hanna - Allie don’t miss this comment.
Thanks for posting this and spreading awareness! I know I personally will be checking out these brands, & I encourage everyone to do the same 💕
Thank you for choosing to speak on this topic. I watch your channel because you are honest and you give a heads up when mentioning a foundation that has a terrible shade range. You also seem very genuine and accepting of all people, because your content doesn't assume anything of anyone watching.
Thank you!! I love you! ❤️
Allie Glines I love you too ❤️
Even if we can’t always find the right words, just addressing this is so important. The silence from so many influencers, friends, and companies is deafening. So thank you for your compassionate and eloquent words, Allie. ❤️ Now is not the time to be quiet. Now is the time to be actively anti-racist, speak out against injustices, and stand with those who have been and continue to be oppressed.
Nicole Germain YES! I was thinking the same thing. Not many influencers are speaking up about what’s going on. I LOVE the 1’s that aren’t afraid to use their platform & speak up. It warms my heart.
The silence is absolutely deafening and lets us know who truly cares about POC in the world today. Not taking a side is the same thing as taking a side.
As a person of mixed heritage I have had my share of prejudice directed at me from all sides. Also, as one of your more *mature* subscribers, I have seen first hand what racism and violence can do to a neighborhood, a city, and ultimately a nation. I'm 61 years old and grew up in Harlem in New York City in the 1960's. I remember the riots that took place then. It is unbelievable that we are dealing with the same issues more than half a century later. All lives matter, regardless of color, race or religious affiliation. We are first and foremost human beings. I just wish we could all start acting as such.
Allie, thank you for your words of encouragement and love, which I know are heartfelt. Your spirit is one of the reasons I subscribe to your channel. Keep true to yourself and I know if we all can do that we can make some amazing changes in this world. Love to all, Shari 💖
I’m only 14 and I’m not allowed to have social media so it’s very hard for me to express my feelings and be heard about everything that is happening. I feel sick to my stomach seeing some other teenagers being racist and doing stupid challenges that are disgusting. Our generation needs to step up and help fix this horrible world. Thank you for talking about this and not staying silent. BLACK LIVES MATTER ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾✊🏼
I can totally relate. It’s been so heavy on my heart. We have the power to change starting with our hearts, our families, and our communities. I love you so much! Thank you for your comment ❤️
eden Just keep speaking up! You WILL be heard. Your doing a good job expressing your feelings.
Preech!🥺✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻
eden Keep talking. Surround yourself with positive people. Get lost in makeup ❤️🇨🇦😘
Colleen Jennifer-Lynn thank you guys for all your support! This isn’t just happening in America it’s happening where I live in Canada and all over the world! We can all change it if we all work together! ❤️
thank you Allie for being literally one of the few beauty channels if not the only one who's still uploading consistently 3 times a week every week!!!! you're such a source comfort in the dark scary times we're living in
Taylor Wynn too
Just the fact that you took the time to address the protest and movement in general. Means the world to people. Love you 🖤
Love you too 😘
Absolutely
Allie, thank you so much for speaking to your Black subscribers and letting us know that you are with us. You are a soothing presence and I appreciate you 🙏🏾❤️
i was arrested at a peaceful protest saturday night so i appreciate you sharing this on your platform. it’s the perfect mix of the escapism i need right now as well as not being tone deaf to the situation at hand. so proud to know you.
as a black person, it has really made my heart feel so good inside to know that even though there is so much tragedy & pain that we as a black community are facing, that there are still people like you that i look up to & love & that are standing by me & in my corner & believing that change can happen & will happen, one step at a time! so thank u for this allie, it means the world to me. thank u for using your platform to bring positivity & bring awareness to racial injustice when it would be so easy for you to continue doing makeup & other videos on your channel, but instead you are standing up & speaking out! so for that, thank u! i love you! keep being that positive light that you are! i love you & thank you, again! all lives can’t matter until black lives matter🖤
I’ve been talking with my husband how the conversation has felt very ‘blamey’ and avoids the issues within ourselves. I truly believe we need to reflect on how we’re contributing to the problem, how that affects our immediate community, and how it trickles into the large scale issue. Lots of prayer, separation from social media, and honest conversations with myself have left me broken yet hopeful? Your words perfectly parallel my thoughts and I’m so grateful to see you using your platform beautifully (though I’m not surprised 🤍). Thankful for your authenticity and makeup therapy!
I appreciate your comment!! And yes, I’ve caught myself feeling guilty & overwhelmed- worried that I didn’t do enough in the past or that I wasn’t aware enough. Instead of letting that take over, I think realizing that I CAN start today and work on myself through patience and consistency. And that’s not an overnight thing. I’m being patient with myself. Every step in the right direction (big or small) can make a difference. I love you so much! ❤️
Allie Glines yes yes yes to all of this. Love to you!
While I do like your final makeup look I absolutely LOVE how you took the time to address the current social climate. I can't tell you how much that means because you definitely didn't have to do so. I'm so grateful.😘
What I would like for you to do is continue to be TRUE and keep awareness out there. I enjoy watching you because of calming your voice is. Would love a Black Radiance,Milani and Danessa Myrick review.
Danessa Myrick is a makeup genius!!! ❤️❤️
Uoma too! Love your idea Amy.
@@tracie3 I want to try her foundation but on a no buy. Thanks for the confirmation.
@@janfromseattle I tried their foundation and got the wrong shade and its so watery so I will be mixing it with another foundation. Now the concealer is amazing. 🙌🏾
Love black radiance. I get lots of stuff from that brand. :) xo
I think a lot of "influencers" feel the need to take a stand for something and end up ramming it down people's throats. This was far more personal and I appreciate that. I come to certain channels for escape and when people start getting too political I shy away because that's not what I'm there for. That's not what's happening here. It felt like you were chatting with us, your friends, and sharing your feelings which is absolutely ok. We should all try to be a better person than we were yesterday.
Your words were beautifully and eloquently shared. I love your spirit, and to answer your question keeping the conversation alive and challenging racism in your own life. That's something we can all do. It takes courage for sure, but that's where we can all start. Love your videos, and you😊. Have a blessed day Allie. ❤❤❤
Hannah Maria I love your comment. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ I’m committed to keeping the conversation alive!! Love you so much! 😘
The fact that you took the time to acknowledge what is happening, and speak from your heart is appreciated. I have always admired how true you are to what you do, and your openness and honesty in your channel has inspired me to be more aware of what I say and do in my group of friends.
Honestly glad you posted today. I am hearing that you aren't "supposed" to be posting anything to social media today but if you felt compelled to post and speak I am glad you werent afraid to. Love you Allie.
Thank you so much ❤️
That’s what blackout Tuesday is for. A lot of people are very confused about where this started and how this blackout Tuesday came about but let me explain. Black out Tuesday is a day to black out your page yes, but to also instead of posting your regularly scheduled content you are posting content that is enrichment. Talking about ways you can help the black lives matter movement and black people. Share resources and the things that you have learned and your stores and the things that you know and have seen. It is to push up black voices and to also show your support by talking about which businesses to support that are black owned and etc.
Miykala Horton exactly!! That’s the whole purpose of blackout tuesday. We really need to take the time to talk about what has been going on, express ourselves and focus on the things that are this important.
Just imagine if you were being mistreated by me, or someone who looks like me simply because your skin is white!! Just imagine if EVERY TIME your husband left the house you were afraid for his life, because Black men in law enforcement targeted him simply because his skin is a different color than theirs!! It sounds ridiculous doesn't it?
It’s heartbreaking. I can’t even begin to imagine. Things HAVE to change!! I love you dearly!! ❤️
NO ONE should have to live in fear! I can’t even imagine.. Praying for change, justice and unity! ❤️🙏🏼
@@allieglines I luv you too precious Allie💖
I really hope that through so many people speaking up, and not standing for more racism, that change happens in the U.S. and sets the standard for the rest of the world. I'm from Brazil and we have the same issues. It hurts me because I have black family members, including my own brother, and the things that they go through that I never have because of the color of their skin is sickening. I'm so sorry for the injustice that you've lived through and I hope real change happens for the sake of everyone. Black Lives Matter, and they've always mattered.
@@BiatheCapricorn Thank you Bia. I luv you💓✊
THANK YOU Allie for using your platform. The silence from others on youtube is deafening. I loved the way you highlighted black beauty brands, great way to not just talk about it but to be about it
"All acts of kindness are lights in the war for justice." - Joy Harjo
Thank you, Allie.
That’s beautiful! Thank you ❤️
Thank you for not turning a blind eye and for your honesty. We have to be in this together, even when we don’t understand. Learning can lead to change.
Hi Allie,
I just recently discovered you here on RUclips, and in a matter of a week I have binged a lot of your videos because it brought me immense peace during this time.
I initially was shocked you did upload today but hearing you talk about this subject and addressing it the way you did moved me, especially since this is close to my heart, I grew up being bullied in school for being duskier than other girls. Thank you for keeping me sane as I sleep peacefully at night knowing there are so many good hearted people in the world
Love from India
I love you, Sohini! 💕
Sohini, you are absolutely beautiful. Anybody that has told you otherwise is deluded. I know how horrible the colorism in India can be, firsthand. Stay strong ❤️
I feel like even though Allie said " I can't say how everyone's feeling", I feel like whatever she's feeling is something a lot of people can relate to. Btw I love how positive she is ❤️. And like y does Allie's cheekbones look good... Like how can someones cheek bones look THAT good.
Thank you for opening up about this and sharing a beautiful message. I also think that it is never too late to learn about something we are not familiar with. You are such a beautiful person and your videos are an escape from the bad happening in the world, but speaking up is exactly what is needed in this moment.
Thank you for this video and showcasing black-owned brands! And especially for not using click-bait for performative measures!!!!
I STAN💓
Thank you for your honesty. No one has the answers for all that is going on. If someone did, we wouldn’t be going through any of this. The most important thing that you stated was you took a look inward to examine yourself and your feelings. It made you ask yourself “what can I do”? That’s extremely important. Everyone needs to be taking a real in-depth look into themselves. What we all see isn’t always pretty. However, it’s within that recognition that change can come. So again, thank you for your words of honesty and your channel for giving us all a break from the outside world. Even if it’s only for 15 minutes. ❤️
i personally would love to see you do a full face of black owned brands. i haven’t gotten all the way through the video, but i love the brand marena beaute and they are a black owned brand that is often overlooked.
Using your platform to enlighten yourself and others is a wonderful start and will hopefully make people start to change
Thank you for not just posting video without addressing the current situation of the world. Thank you for not pretending like everything is fine. You’re an amazing person.
Very well said. The change must come from within. I was soooo blessed to have the best dad who taught me by his actions, not his words, how to treat everyone equally, to be kind, have compassion and listen. He taught me about empathy. I am human, but I try very hard not to be judgmental. He taught me about God and the power of prayer. I could go on and on....
Thank you for your comment ❤️ Those are such important lessons to learn!
Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge the recent events in the US and sharing how you are feeling about all this. It can often feel scary and uncomfortable to be so vulnerable, but that's what the world needs right now. More compassion, more open dialogue, and more commitment to becoming better individuals everyday. Thank you for being a wonderful example Allie!
As a mother of four, I think you are one of the sweetest beauty influencers. I am always telling my two teenage daughters to watch your videos. Thank you for using your platform for such positivity. It's inspiring.
thank you so much for using your platform to speak about something that is so important! i keep seeing people downplay all that the black community is going through and it makes me feel horrible for them, but your willingness to talk about this to us makes me feel so happy!! 💞💞
I love how your channel is a place of love and peace..ive been binge watching lots of your videos..so much calm aura coming from you and that what makes you so special.
Im here from Malaysia hoping for the best for everyone in the USA.
Allie, you truly radiate positivity. Yours is the first channel that I have seen all positivity as a response to your message. We cannot make change unless we all stop hurting one another. No human deserves to suffer at the hand of another. We must all learn to show compassion for EVERY human being.
Thank you for standing and making your voice count. Silence is deadly. We need every thoughtful human being who has empathy for their fellow human being to speak their heart and not hide behind what’s easy, distracting and comfortable. Thank you for speaking from the heart on behalf of your self and for others 💗
I never know what to say and I’m so emotional and angry and helpless. I would love to see a dedicated week or month of only black owned makeup/skincare companies. Allie, I appreciate that there is no drama on your channel AND I appreciate that you addressed what is going on. ❤️🇨🇦😘
Thank you for using your platform to speak out and start having conversations that may be uncomfortable but is so necessary for change. We all need to address injustice regardless of race, gender etc
Thank you for using your platform to address something so meaningful! Your commitment to continue to educate yourself and your community means so much ❤️
Thank you for your kind words! Love you! ❤️
Thank you precious Allie. Love is the answer and as I have grown older I realize that we all need love, respect, and compassion and by living this through all of our daily actions we can spread kindness and promote understanding. God bless you.
Emotional! Anxious! My place is downtown Minneapolis. Find myself confused, irritated, nervous, heartbroken, shocked, appreciative... so many feelings. Praying for peace. 🖤
Amanda, I am praying with you on the East coast. Praying for strength, comfort, and unity. Much love and all the light to you.💓💗💖💟💞
@@ashleys4652 - Thank you so much! Really appreciate your kind words. Prayers/well wishes for you and all who read this!
Thank you for sharing your message. It's so difficult to know what to say or do, but you hit the nail on the head. Open our hearts and minds, listen, learn and have empathy and compassion ❤️
Ally, you're so sweet. Learning and being open to understanding is so important and helps us get passed a lot of our fears so we can help others.
You and your channel have so much positivity even with everything going on in the world. I love watching your videos! No drama, no negativity, just you having a good fun time with makeup ❤️ you are such an inspiration 🙌🏼 keep it up!
Savannah Knight thank you!! I appreciate you! ❤️
I’m so glad that you talked about the protests and what our country is facing. Having theses hard conversations is the first step. You may have felt you didn’t have the right words, but you did! You spoke from your heart and said it in a meaningful manner! Well done!! 🥰❤️
This video reminded me of why I subbed and fell in love with your channel years ago. Thank you for speaking up and encouraging all of us to be better allies and to live above all else. Kindness really could solve so many of the worlds issues with humanity. Sending everyone tons of good wishes and lots of love
So well said thank you for sharing. A lot of people are feeling fearful but we can’t let fear stop us from making a change! Push through the fear and keep moving forward. We must make a change in the world!
Such a thoughtful and kind message Allie. We love you too 💜🤗. Thank you for today's video, you are so genuine when it comes to everything and I just really appreciate you and enjoy all of your content. The power of prayer is undeniable. #blessed 🙏
Thank you for adding your voice to the community. I'm sure you've helped a lot of people just by opening up. You are not alone. WE are not alone Black Lives Matter.
Absolutely LOVE YOU ALLIE💕🌸💕 Beautifully spoken. Each positive action matters. Approaching a subject with love and compassion is always the right thing to do.
I am a middled aged black women who have been looking for a makeup influencer that I can relate to. You’re my favorite. I’ve find myself binging on your videos. I feel your faith through the screen and your heart is obvious. I would like to see you feature brands that are more inclusive in shade choices. Thanks for empathizing. It’s been a tough few weeks and we need every american to stand with us.
Allie, I just want to say how much I appreciate you. You shine such a bright light in the beauty community, and you’ve used your platform as a means to spread such positivity, and for that I am grateful. ❤️❤️❤️
Allie thanks for opening up and being so positive,! We need more minds like yourself xoxo
Thank you for using your platform to spread love during this time. It’s hard to understand what exactly is going on but the best thing we can do is educate ourselves and do our best to be loving and grow to help the world defeat racism. I admire you even more now. Beautiful makeup look!
Thank you for sharing with us what’s on your mind & in your heart. I LOVE that your not afraid to use the platform you have to speak up!❤️
(I live in a northern suburb of Minneapolis)
Thank you for speaking about that it’s amazing to see everyone want to make a change. Thank you, I love your videos, God bless you ❤️
Thank you for being such a bright light and warmth in these difficult and dark times. It is truly appreciated. I look forward to your videos each time you post. Sending love your way Allie! And thank you for sharing your love and feelings with the world!
Thanks for your message Allie. It's horrible all what is going on right now. For me all this has helped me to look more deeply into my own feeling looking for self-awareness. I totally agree that we must promote awareness and break our own lies and their power. Beginning individually we will get it collectively also. ❤❤😙
When you said you loved us all so much at the end, it sounded so genuine. 🥺 We love you too Allie, thank you for being such an amazing person all the time, and caring about us all. We appreciate all you do for every person.
Thank you so much for the intro 💕 it is so, so important, and I'm glad to see more people discussing these uncomfortable (and sometimes infuriating) topics.
Allie as a black woman, I thank you for doing your best. For sharing your heart and committing to listening and do your best to impact your community! Please continue to review and support black owned brand, collaborations, featuring black creators on your channel. Your intro touched my heart and inspires hope and I found comforting! ❤️❤️
I love Briogeo! My grandmother pretty much raised me so from an infant she took me to work with her at her beauty salon and as I got older any time I wasn't in school I was at work with her. She always carried Briogeo so I have been using their products as long as I can remember!
Loved your loving, thoughtful genuine self-reflection on how to self-audit behaviors and make sure you stand-up for and care for all who are suffering - and TOTALLY freaked when I saw you were demo’ing the Wahala palette (which I too have been newly demo’ing). Such a nice look, please share more looks using this palette - especially with the glitters ✨ 💕💖
Hi Allie thank you for asking all of us how we are. Over here in Germany Corona still make the everyday life a little bit difficult but it's okay. I agree there are a lot of bad/sad news at the moment. The only thing what everyone else could do is to be a better self. I like what MLK said "darkness can't drive out of darkness;.only light can do that. Hate can't drive out of hate, only love can do that"
I hope you’re staying safe and staying healthy 💕 Thank you for your comment! I loved that quote ❤️
I love that quote
I think it’s great that you are supportive and taking comments. I myself am Irish and Puerto Rican . My husband is dark skin Puerto Rican and has been mistaken for African. Although we claim to know others feelings ,I agree we must be willing to listen . Change is up to us all. Fear is not of God.
Thank you for being a positive light, for being hopeful, caring and helpful to everyone
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings on the recent events. It really is heartbreaking to see what has been happening. I really admire your attitude in all this. You're very inspiring❤
Hi Allie! I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your comments before the makeup tutorial. You honestly are such a sweet person and you inspire me to better myself along with you. I feel like this time in quarantine has helped me to self-assess and make changes to be more positive and mentally healthy. You are always a pleasure to check in with and I love you too! ❤️
I love that you are honest, direct, and don’t claim to know the answers as a white woman. I feel much the same. I want to do more and don’t want to do the wrong thing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Wow. Beautiful. Please do another tutorial with this palette.
Looking internally helps to see and acknowledge because it allows us to open up and be able to listen.
Thank you for sharing. I'm obsessed with that palette and it is sold out
Yes. Thank you Allie. This needed to be said. I feel disappointed when I see influencers not saying anything about whats going on in our country. Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. You were meant to have the platform you have. Thank you for using it for good and for change.
Hi Allie! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, love & warm heart 💗 You help bring sincere kindness to this world. And, your make up looked great today 💖
I understood exactly what you meant when you said you have felt every emotion regarding what is going on in our world right now. I am beyond disappointed that it is 2020 and we are still having this conversation. It makes me so so happy to see you using your platform to spread positivity and love! Thank you for being yourself and not being afraid to speak up! We may not always have the right thing to say but speaking up is better than remaining silent.
❤❤❤❤❤
Allie you are so inspiring! I absolutely love this video and your message at the beginning. For me it can be hard to know how to help make a difference and I love your look inward philosophy. It’s so true that purely seeking improvement in your own self can go such a long way. We love you too!!! On the makeup - I absolutely love this makeup look and would love to see another look with the blue and that green shade!
I loved your Bomb makeup tutorial and all the bright colors you used ,they looked very new to me,I like the way you combined them.Love you!🤗👩🦋🦄
Allie,
Just your willingness to be vulnerable and open to reflection and change is very encouraging to hear as a black woman who supports your channel. Using your platform to bring awareness is important and helps me as a viewer feel heard. One suggestion that I have is to maybe reference more product recommendations for deeper skin tones when trying out multiple items from a brand or if that is not feasible, simply trying out items from smaller indie black owned brands to help bring awareness to your viewers and business to these companies. Thanks for standing in solidarity and aspiring to be consistent in your efforts.
Oh Allie, this was so sweet! As a black woman it warms my heart to hear such honesty. I was protesting peacefully and was still shot with a rubber bullet. It hurt and left a NASTY bruise. And yet i got up and continued because it’s bigger than me! To see you rise to the occasion helps me to know that there is hope at the end of this exhausting tunnel. You’re amazingly sweet, i love your content. Thank you for using your platform. I look forward to see you follow through ❤️
That lipstick is gorgeous!! It’s even got like glitters around it 😍
Thanks Allie I didn't expect many to touch on this topic and you surprised me. You being you is all we need. I think you'll guide and inspire others to speak there truth with courage and it can only create a more loving atmosphere for us all. I think your words will stretch far and create warmth and acceptance in all hearts as it did mine.
Xoxo❤💙🖤
Thank you so much for still posting and using your platform the best way you know how. WE LOVE YOU ALLIE!
I love this!!! You are so good. So good. I reflect what you've talked about. I've been scared and worried too but I love my brothers and sisters all over the world. ❤️
I've been learning lately how to apply my eyeshadows and it's looking so much better.Im lately practicing to do my wing liner on my lids and it looked really pretty and soft.I appreciate your tips in makeup you give me always.
Dear Allie! I've been watching your channel from a far distance ( Germany) for a while now, not saying a word. Tonight your intro touched my heart and moved me to tears ( something i did not expect.. I expected make up)!! You Seem to be such a sweet person!!!!! I think you found exactely the right words: modest and warm!!!!! Take good care of yourself!
Best regards, Sarah
So well said Allie...you’re more eloquent than you know and it’s brave of you to speak up...thank you so much
I’ve seen so much lip service paid by influencers to guilting brands for failing to increase their line/product diversity, but the influencers still use the brands’ products because they happen to work for them. All I can do is sit here and watch influencers use and enjoy products that are not meant for me. We, and by “we” I mean both white and POC influencers and consumers, must demand more and walk away from brands who consistently refuse to do better.
Patrice, I agree with you so much!!! Acknowledgment of poor shade range is good lip service, but I want to see more influencers stop working with the worst offenders. That is how things will start to change.
I think you might like to know about Kiki G. She is a makeup artist for television and had completely stopped using brands that don’t have a wide shade range (specifically don’t have enough darker tones), and aren’t cruelty free. She’s stopped using any of her favorite formulas for products because they aren’t cruelty free or aren’t inclusive. It’s really awesome to see someone in the industry do that not only for her channel but for her clients. :)
Tasha Chambers Thanks, Tasha! I’ve never heard of her. I’ll definitely check her out.
This is one of the reasons why I wear fenty beauty because they support a comprehensive shade range. I don’t like to support brands that aren’t shade inclusive, size inclusive or don’t make products for truly curly hair. I feel like I can be better but these are must haves for my self care.
@@enc1971 I hope you like her! I think my favorite videos from her are her "Why come no one told me that?" video series. It is super helpful! Especially in figuring out what colors and formulas work best for you. I also really like her video that she put out on who she is and why she does what she does. It goes a lot into how racist the beauty industry is. It was really cool to hear, personally. :)
As a black woman, thank you Allie for this.
Thank you for addressing such an important topic in such an honest and beautiful way.
The only way to create change is to acknowledge the problem, shine a light on it, and create action.
Thank you for using your platform to bring awareness and encouraging conversations to people who may not have otherwise heard the message. Nice call not mentioning it in the title. I see what you did there. 🤗
🖤✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏻
I have always loved your channel but I have a newfound respect for you addressing the current situation in a graceful and heartfelt way, while also showcasing some amazing products from black owned brands.
Thank you so much 💕 love you, Kate!
thank you for not just going “i’m not racist” and actually acknowledging that just because you aren’t racist doesn’t mean you can’t do more to help we need as much help as possible from everyone and thank you for being apart of that
Hi Allie. I saw all of the heat you got today on Instagram but I wanted you to know that those of us that have been with you for a long time know you have such a sweet heart and we love that you are using our platform for awareness. (PS...fellow Utah gal here & Influencer) love u Allie💖💖💖
I hope more and more people have your beautiful heart and start to think of the problems the way you do!❤
You are the sweetest most kind person you are just so genuine. Lots of love 💜🙏🏼💜
Thank you so much Allie I'm black and this events have destroyed me I feel hopeless and very angry and appreciate you for this. I've been following you for a long time and your words really touched me. Thank you thank you and I love you.

This means a lot to me. I love you! 💕
I LOVE these videos because I get to see all of the older makeup Allie is loving as well as some new things 😍😍❤️ I love all of her content but these are some of my favorite videos.
This is a gorgeousss makeup look, and I love that you focused on black owned brands! 😀❤️
