This is relaxing when I'm not driving, but as a Trucker, When you put "Rain" and "Atlanta" in the same journey, I get preemptively stressed just thinking about it.

I love how u first saw the sky lighting up a some times and then out of nowhere it started raining heavily. But when it rains so much, you cant see properly no more its kinda scary.
This reminds me towards my childhood back 2009, we went back from vocation, where dad was night driving his classic Honda civic in heavy rain listening jazz instrument with car audio tape, it's bring me into sleepy mode. Very relaxing.
I like the view from being up so high. I've never ridden in a big rig before, so seeing this view is new to me. I like it. I'm also impressed with how smooth and clean the highways are.
I ve driven through Atlanta several times as an otr trucker I helped move a Disney on Ice Show from a venue in South Carolina to Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville Alabama once I passed thru Atlanta around 2am.
Agreed, I wish I could more often. I myself am a truck driver and the only reason I'm not a night driver is because of the winter time. I go places that have snow and I refuse to be a night driver in those conditions. And trying to switch my sleep schedule between seasons can be hard. That's the only reason I'm a day driver. Now if I got to stay in the warmer states during the whole winter season then I'd switch to being a night driver. Until then, daytime it is sadly.
I LOVE truckers! The are the best drivers in the world and will look out for you. I once had to drive from Detroit to Chicago in a heavy rainstorm. There i was in my little Chevy Citation, driving alone. The rain was so heavy that I could barely see in front of me mile after mile, and it was pretty scary. These two great big trucks let me drive between them below the speed limit due to the weather for hours through that storm all the way back the Chicago until we parted ways at the Bishop Ford Expressway. They both gave me big horn honks. Truckers are the BEST!!!!!!
If it were me driving in that heavy rain, I would have pulled over....ok I'm old.....can't drive at night anymore let alone driving in heavy rain. Kudos to you my friend, glad you made it to your destination. Enjoyed your video from inside my warm dry home!
I miss riding in the truck with my fiance to Florida and Texas from Atlanta. He came off the road for a couple years but he's going back starting next week. He made sure I could ride with him on the weekends, so I'm excited..
The best sleep I had ever had was one night in the back of a car driving in a storm. Something about the road sounds, rain, and motions just make me drop off. Probably why I will never be a trucker.
What's even better is when a low volume cb chimes off every now and again with some bref words you can't quite catch, im dead serious, it's surreal but soothing, my dad and I would run all night and i remember being in the sleeper and on occasion his old Galaxy cb would break the silence, it was very low volume at night so it wouldn't break the silence harshly, all I can call this is magic
I know the feeling, I have been looking around to try and recreate this. I will come up with something, because I no longer drive a truck with a CB. Our company trucks don’t have any.
You could install one, company's typically don't stop driver's from doing so, I bet there's plenty of tutorials showing how :) I know when I get my cdl if my truck isn't equipped with one I'm gonna go to my dad's house and have him help me put one in, they can be life saving
Just wanted to let you know I love this video! I've been going through RUclips's trucker ASMR vlogs for a while now, and it's hard to find good rain content. Something about the sound of a truck + rain on the windshield makes me incredibly happy. Please post more!! Lol If I'm allowed to make one suggestion, try mounting a camera towards the back of the passenger seat so we can some of the cab + the windshield. Makes the ASMR experience more immersive when you're "inside" the cab instead of up against the windshield. I love it either way though, keep it up!

Where ever you're going on the road during terrible weather makes no difference of your speed. It will be there no matter how fast you drive. Have to make sure you live to make it there SAFELY

I have driven the car in this situation that too in the countryside which is so awful at that time windshield blur headlights can't throw away that far no nearby vehicles or villagers or streetlights and then Google maps as saved me that time by showing the upcoming curves and circles
