I thought I’d miss your adventures on the boat, but must admit as long as the two of you go anywhere by any means it’s a wonderful thing to be part of as viewers, always interesting, always puts a smile on my face, thank you, and happy anniversary to both of you;)
I agree too, the fun facts, the cheeky moments & the wonderful scenery is just fantastic! P.S. Belated Happy Anniversary to you both, hope you had an amazing day together! ❤️👍😘
You two are just delightful!! Two landlubbers at the northern most point of Scotland being side eyed by seals divebombed by vicious gulls and chilling with puffins!!! Waiting to enjoy your sandwiches and crisps!!! You've brightened my day no end!! Hope you'll do a lot more around Scotland!!! Thanks so much!!
This is every bit as interesting as your narrowboat vlogs. I love wild and woolly places like north Scotland, so this was great for me. Also props to you for respecting the wildlife and using land camera only. You have again brought a smile to my face, so thanks gents.
Hi Guys!! What a fabulous vlog, so beautifully and sensitively filmed, and of course funny too! You guys could read the phone book on Audible and still get 1000s of likes!! Lovely to see Otis and Jeeeep too! Little touches of silver inside! Glad u are mobile. Dont want to see you puffin'! You've always got my seal of approval. Lotsa love and a very happy wedding anniversary xxx
I am enjoying your vlogs from Scotland every bit as much as I did the Silver Fox canal vlogs! I like Colin's insights into the history of the locations you visit, and Shaun's reactions to Colin's "suttle twists" on the narratives.
In 1998 I was on a tour with a bunch of fellow Scottish country dancers from northern California. We stayed a night or two in Thurso and then, along with our bus, boarded the ferry to Stromness. We stayed several nights in Kirkwall and explored from one end of "Mainland" (the main Orkney island) to the other. Fascinating place. "Land of my high endeavor, land of the lousy weather, land of my heart forever, SCOTLAND THE BRAVE!"
I love the videos of you traveling to different places along the canals. When you take us around and show us everything and tell us the history of those places, it's so interesting. Even though I enjoy your homestead, I hope you can still take us down the canals. Wishing you health and happiness.🚣💙
Excellent vlog, as usual. I always smile while I watch you two. So good of you to be considerate of the nesting birds and basking seals. I hope you will have lots of fun miles in your Jeep. Enjoy your weekend. 💖💖💖
Hey Guys! What a lovely road trip in your new Jeeeeep! Thanks for taking us along. The scenery was abdolutely stunning & I love the seals! SO happy for your new life in Scotland! Looking forward to all the new adventures ahead! Sending love & hugs for you both & big cuddle for Otis! ❤🐶❤
I started watching you on Silver Fox and I just loved your vlogs on interesting places, travels and history. You have such a wonderful gift of telling stories and sharing experiences. It really is priceless.....brilliant!! Thanks for another great video.❤🇿🇦
Jan de Groot was my ancestor. The De Groots were given there name some 4-500 years ago and is one of the oldest families in Holland. Most are associated with Delft where 3 of them were burgomasters of the town over about 150 years. Hugo de Groot was 5 times burgomaster and a founder of international law. He is honoured with a memorial to him in the town square. A namesake of Jan was also 4 times burgomaster of Delft. His son became ambassador to Sweden and his offspring stayed there married Swedish wives and eventually my grandmother was born. The name developed into Groth (Swedish armaments manufactures) and then into Groves when they immigrated into England in the 1800’s. Hope this is interesting to you. Really enjoying your move into ‘highlanders’. Cheers Les and Anne Brewer on NB Glendyne
Guys, I love when I can travel and learn about new places(to me). Your historical information and the beautiful scenery are so much fun! Keep traveling in JEEP!
Nice to see you both again and thanks for properly researching and getting the info right! I get so hacked off with folk who just perpetrate the same nonsense and stereotypes about Scotland. Some of it is cringe-making! When you have the time and dosh, you'd love visits to Orkney and Shetland. Very different in geology and culture but both packed with amazing history and sites. Folk generally have no idea how much further North Shetland is, and how close it is to Norway. Cheers guys and thanks for another lovely vlog.
Dear Foxes Ashore, great video! Now the part about the most northern moist point is right up there with the bow thrusters on the narrow boat. You guys are great. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us.
Wonderful vlog last time I was at john o groats I was cycling end to end for a charity ride.never knew about dunnet head will have to visit one day. Thanks again guys xx
Absolutely loving these new adventures , the breathtaking scenery and always informative insight into each place you take us to, but you always leave us wanting more! That's definitely the key to success, give them enough to keep it interesting but also keep us hanging on for the next installment. True genius 👍
Shaun and Colin another great vlog and wonderful to see Otis. Hope you all are happy and settling in to your new life. Hoping for good health for the 3 of you
Another Friday another terrific vlog! I love how respectful you are of the wildlife. Those seals are the best. Swish jeep too! Many happy travels guys....
I enjoyed the live vlog last night although I didn't watch it as it was going out you made me laugh at some of the things you said a BIG thank you for everything. Colin, Shaun and Otis.xxx
Hey guys Nice to see Otis bless him. Jeep is very nice. You clearly gad great fun with all the wildlife. What a fab place Great history lesson as always. Enjoy ya lunch Love Kim x x
Love your new life. Sailed these waters for a life time now V. Old so great to see these places again. You lead me towards canals and now towards crofting. Love it and you both. Thanks
Another great vlog. Good to see Otis, too. 😊 I love that you make the surrounding things sound so interesting no matter where you are. Keep up the good work. Hope you enjoy your new Jeep. It should make getting around easier for you. Have fun.
Loved the road trip and I had spotted the bag o’pooh that Shaun had in his hand when you turned at the end of the vlog. I had to laugh because Otis is keeping up with his duties on the road! I now want to do the entire route around Scotland and see all the scenery. So keep up the trips so I can make a list to see and do when I get over there.
So beautiful, thank you for taking us all on your journey's. I appreciate showing me the land of my heritage especially Caithness and Northern Scotland. Cheers
Thnx for the Jan de Groot explanation… I just finished my NC500 vitrtual challenge… I do walks on conqueror challenges and did already the NC 500 and Hadrian’s Wall this year. Love the clogs. Enjoy life at the outmost… greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
That was fun (and informative). Beautiful birds!! I always liked the concept of jeeps and enjoyed a few rides over time. They were never a good practical fit for me as an only vehicle until the Gladiator, which is not the best option for me anymore. I see you went for the fur repellent upholstery, nice choice👍👍
Again great vlog… you both are a hoot:) My husband and I are planning a trip to Scotland in the near future, this is helping us mapping our trip… can’t wait to return to Scotland love the country love the people. Keep it up looking forward to next week.
This episode was extra good. I love the coast there. I live on the coast of Maine (US) and once during a particularly bad storm when the sea hit the cliffs behind my house it rattled the dishes in my cupboard!
Brilliant, we get to see more scenery than we would have from a longboat, I was born in Inverness and dragged To Aus at 4 years of age, I have been back a couple of times but have never seen the most Northern Point of Scotland. You're right most people tell you John O Groats is
It was lovely to meet you all today. You won't remember us, but you might remember Archie the Scottish Deerhound who wanted to play with Otis. We hope you managed to find some time to yourselves and were not inundated with people like us.
Thanks Colin and Shaun for another excellent and informative vlog. I didn’t realise that Dunnet Head was the most Northerly point. Like the new car. Take care. Nick
This was a lot of fun. I love the Jeep Wrangler - keep on the maintenance schedule as if it's a six cylinder problems may crop up otherwise. Shawn, your presentation as a RUclips personality (because that's what you are on this end of the kaleidoscope) has improved so much since I first saw you both out before Silver Fox. Colin seems born to it but you have grown into it and I dare say (dare I say?) that you could hold an episode or two on your own at this point. Well, maybe Otis could help. Colin needs a vacation to work on the radio station. Maybe you could do a history of Scottish pubs?
On the move again, this time wheels down. Should be every bit as good as “afloat” was, maybe even better. So glad you’re exploring this way. Oh before I forget, Happy Anniversary! 🎊🎉❤️ Absolutely gorgeous videography!
I thought I’d miss your adventures on the boat, but must admit as long as the two of you go anywhere by any means it’s a wonderful thing to be part of as viewers, always interesting, always puts a smile on my face, thank you, and happy anniversary to both of you;)
I feel the same 😊
Totally agree! ❤️
I agree. I really enjoyed this video. Absolutely loved the scenery. San, your Liverpool Fan xx
I agree too, the fun facts, the cheeky moments & the wonderful scenery is just fantastic! P.S. Belated Happy Anniversary to you both, hope you had an amazing day together! ❤️👍😘
Agree
As a retired teacher I really like and appreciate your 'lessons' on all the places you visit. Thanks.
I have learned more from the two of you than i did living in Britain for 14 years, keep up the great videos we love watching you.
This is every bit as interesting as your narrowboat vlogs. I love wild and woolly places like north Scotland, so this was great for me. Also props to you for respecting the wildlife and using land camera only. You have again brought a smile to my face, so thanks gents.
Yes I am disappointed that there will be no more boatlife, but that will never change the fact that you are my favorite 🤩! Love you fellas!
Hi Guys!! What a fabulous vlog, so beautifully and sensitively filmed, and of course funny too! You guys could read the phone book on Audible and still get 1000s of likes!!

In Dutch "Groot" is actually pronounced as "Groat", so your explanation makes absolute sense!
Hahaha, yeah the first thing I thought of when hearing it 😁
Excellent vlog, as usual. I always smile while I watch you two. So good of you to be considerate of the nesting birds and basking seals. I hope you will have lots of fun miles in your Jeep. Enjoy your weekend. 💖💖💖

Another great vlog, you guys look happier and more excited to be up there with each passing week.
Missed you guys! Glad to see you! Lovely as usual!

That puffin, sooooo cute! Very interesting to learn that I've been lied to all my life; I'll remember Dunnit Head now.
Yup but we never discover the truth behind most lies :)
Another great vlog. Good to see Otis, too. 😊 I love that you make the surrounding things sound so interesting no matter where you are. Keep up the good work. Hope you enjoy your new Jeep. It should make getting around easier for you. Have fun.
