I mean this just feels like magic on its own, even if its frustrating when it does not recognize what you say when you have a big accent like me. :D

Nice funny game. I'm using VoiceAttack with Hogwarts Legacy but hate approx. 1 sec delay between casts... (add macro like F1,F2,F3,F4 then 1,2,3,4 Fkey for spell set)
Dude!, This must have taken a hell lot of effort. Apart from fancy VR stuff, the voice recognition, shape detection, great particle effect and all blended with great humor. Been following you for a very long time, you are really next level now!
This is such an awesome result! Both the shape detection and voice recognition are things I've tried before but never really worked for me, so it's very impressive that you got such a good game out of it :)

How is this so underrated? 😮 The content I just watched has matchless quality.
You should make an ai for the wand that tries to figure out what spell he is trying to cast based voice recognition and wand movement, in my mind that would make the spellcasting faster and more natural, it would be lore accurate too since most enchanted objects in the harry potter universe including the wands has a personality of it's own and the ability to think.
That's why the wand chooses the wizard.
Just don't give up on this game, the idea of a harry potter spellcasting vr game has loads of potential but there are no game studio who's really pursued this idea at all.
I just had a dream last night about a VR Harry Potter game that uses voice recognition for spell casting

nah you should absolutely add to sidequest I'd buy, but I think it would need more damage spells and less spells that interact with objects

Here's an idea: VR game, pitched by AI - AI creates the idea, and main mechanic. mine spit out (supernatural detective game where the player solves crimes by communicating with ghosts in an immersive VR world - main mechanic: use gestures and voice commands to communicate with the spirits) creators block solved haha

I think you should make a tutorial where you make a vr spectator camera like you know in beat saber where its toggable and the fog is greater so as the rotation and movement smoother. That would be awesome.

What you could do if the recognition was weird you could add what it thinks you said for the spells and make that also valid for the spell
Yes exactly I heard that you can actually write multiple version of the spell name to help the algorithm. Ill try to do this afterwards

Awesome! Do you already have some videos where you explain how to move an object like with accio (with raycast I guess)?
Exactly, its using a raycast and then move the object slowly towards a position which is in my case the tip of the wand. If you want you can find something similar using the XR Ray Interactor which can allow you to grab object using a ray and do something similar ! :)

I'm making a VR game in unity and for some objects, I want to pick them up by pressing the trigger once and press again to let go (I can do this by switching the Select Action Trigger to "Toggle"), but for other objects I only want them to be picked up if the player is holding down the trigger. Do you have a tutorial that might help me achieve both ways of picking up objects in the same game?
impressed! how was the fight ? did it feel too easy to avoid ? may i suggest a teleportation spell ? or some other sort of fast movement spell. And then maybe have a spell that creates a big explosion (or large are dmg) that would almost require to make use of the fast movement (portal jump) spell.

@@ValemVR not invisibility cloth, there is a spell to literally teleport, you just have to focus where you want to be, then you will disapparate from where you are aparrating where you wanted to be, apparition is the name.

Make the vr player a child of an object that will move using a bezier curve! I think sebastian lague as a great tutorial series about bezier curves

Looks like you abandoned the project. I tried playing it now, 5 months later, and it's still so buggy I couldn't even create a lobby, nor join one, nor cast any of the verbal spells while being in the main menu.
you could have made his character do fortnite dance in the first spell and then destroyed him!
