This is so good. I'm here at home with my son and we are learning this together so I can means test him. It's brilliant how it's been clearly and concisely uncomplicatedly conveyed. We were able to pause the video and consolidate parts and now we know everything about the leaf structure. I will now get my son to do labelling of the anatomy of a leaf and also write and draw it. This is a keeper. Thank you very much to the author as he has helped my son in understanding this fully.
Thank you. It is one thing to open a book and see a diagram and reads it's explanation. But it's a whole another thing to have it displayed on your monitor with someone to show the structure and explain it to you.
I love your videos so much. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into helping people learn. Whenever I don’t understand something, I come to your videos and I’m guaranteed to understand after watching them. I love your style of teaching ; You get straight to the point and explain a topic in detail but in a way that is easy to understand. Again, thank you!
I'm doing CIE O-levels and it's quite similar to GCSE O-levels. These videos are of GCSE but are still very helpful for CIE O-level students since the syllabus is a lot similar. Thanks for helping us students!
the best channel for science ever. you are the best teacher ever. you described everything in 4 minutes that my teacher couldn't teach in 1 hour. THANK YOU SO MUCH 😍🤩🤩🤩🤩
Also a big thanks for this video since it is really difficult trying to find all the definitions for everything in the leaf structure, but you've explained them all clearly. :)
What I recommend is watch his videos after every science lesson(physics, chemistry and biology), this really help me to understand and summarize the lesson
@ I don’t know actually that why I am asking from you I didn’t learn that in college but I found it in my homework can you tell me I think it is a cell because I found in types of cell and Ian saying level 2 because I did my GCSE and I got 3 I am doing it again Thank you
Palisade cells carry out photosynthesis. They have a large number of chloroplasts to do that. The chloroplasts are found mainly towards the top of the cell where there is more exposure to sunlight.
ginevra separate science need to know everything, combined science needs to know this and I think foundation as well. If it was just separate he’d indicate that combined don’t
I know this may be a dumb question. I know that co2 diffuses into the stomata and 02 diffuses out. But what about in respiration? Does the oxygen diffuse from the stomata to the spongy mesophull to the palisade cells and co2 gets released from there. But that seems incorrect as the palisade cells are responsible for photosynthesis not respiration. Can someone help me?
Palisade cells carry out both respiration and photosynthesis. During light conditions, the oxygen produced in photosynthesis can be used directly in respiration, with the excess oxygen being released through the stomata. In the dark, photosynthesis stops but respiration continues. This means that plants release carbon dioxide at night.
Freesciencelessons I get co2 diffuses out the stomata during respiration but what about the water produced? Does that get stored somewhere in the palisade cells?
Cells are already full of water and the amount of water produced in respiration is relatively small so it just enters the general body of water in the cell.
Everything he mentions, unless stated that it's not, is all relevant to the new 9-1 AQA exams. His videos are Concise and Precise, he is the best science revision source there is!
This is the day- Wed 18. March- when GCSEs have been genuinely cancelled. My predicted grades are genuinely lower than my mock grades. What will happen...
No.1 science channel when it comes to GCSE's

Hello sir, did you make a video on translocation? I cant seem to find it on the channel? These videos have been great by the way, as always.
Hi and thanks for the comment. Translocation is covered in the video "Plant Tissues" which is in the Organisation playlist for Biology 1.
I am here for just a normal science end of topic test :/
Thank you this is very very helpful :D
Also can you please tell me what is the adaptation of palisade cell in biology level 2 because I am in college and I struggled with that
