    as per microsoft we can connect onpremise to azure private enpoints over azure private link without the need to express route "There's no need to configure ExpressRoute Microsoft peering or traverse the internet to reach the service. Private Link provides a secure way to migrate workloads to Azure."
    Could you please hightlight your ides over it as it were confusing for me on this part.
    Thanks!!

    Hello and thanks for the vídeo, one question though, if I intent to connect some azure services (storage account, service bus, key vaults) to my vnet via a private lin, should I put them in a vnet ?

    Great tutorial ! The thing that gets me confused is , do you neee a VPN or express route connection in order to get this private link working from your on prem access ? If the customer doesn’t have any of these solutions I am not sure how they can access to private IP with over internet connection

      Thanks for your comment leo. You are absolutely right one should have S2S VPN or Azure Express Route connection between onprem and Azure Vnet to access Private Endpoint IP from onprem workload

    Nice demo Asif Sir, and you are right not many pls material out here in youtube. Would be grateful if you answer a doubt of mine - if the address space of the pls vnet and the pe vnet is same will it give conflict while registration or will it let me make it considering two scenarios where both pls pe is in same sub and secondly pls pe in seperate sub?

      i have the same question did you ever figure out and or the use cases for pls, if both the pe and pls are in the same vnet?

  • @Southpaw07

    Awesome video . I found pls and pe very confusing topics but you made it super clear, and easy to setup. The only question i have is if the consumer and provider reside in the same vnet do you need a pls or can simply use pe? speaking for Azure SQL in particular

    • @techscout7012

      Thanks for message. If the source and destination are in same vnet they can communicate by configuring the route table attached to vnet I am not sure if PLS or PE will be a good fort this use case

    can we connect to azure sql server master db through DAC connections and run diagnostics, In microsoft document it suggest we can connect but im confused can you elaborate more on this .thank you 😃

    • @techscout7012
      @techscout7012  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the message. Based on my experience with Azure SQL, the master DB in AzSQL is not same as native SQL. As master db is remote to user DB i.e. the master may be on separate server environment than your user DB. yes you can connect using DAC you may need to use -d
      docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/diagnostic-connection-for-database-administrators?view=sql-server-ver15&viewFallbackFrom=sql-server-2017%C2%A0#connecting-with-dac

      @@techscout7012Many thanks to you scout...i do have one more query ....In Azure sql db ...How to delete LTR Backups using Power-shell if server is deleted ?

    • @amarcse06

      IF You could create a Sql db and add ltr...and delete the server...and do deleting those LTR by using power-shell...this could help so many people.
