    I just got it and I’m going to return it… unless they release a firmware update including tilt in tracking mode… it doesn’t make sense if it’s not able to do it… and definitely something they can solve with an update

    Really solid review. Any jerkiness starting up or say going up/down? Another product I checked out had these issues but this does not seem to have them.

      The gears are made out of metal, and the movement is fairly steady. I've had it for a few months now and have been holding us fine.

    Do you have to connect the camera to the device to use tracking mode?

    • @RandomTeq

      No, the device works independently. You can connect the camera to the device to click shutter button remotely.

      On the remote, there's only one button dedicated for shutter, so I doubt that it can be done.

    I was thinking of using it in a elevated position in the manual mode. Does the remote have at least a 25 foot range? Would the remote work in a position directly underneath the gimble? Thank you so much for the informative video.

    • @RandomTeq
      @RandomTeq  2 месяца назад

      Hey Carl, thanks for tuning in.
      The answer is yes for both questions, I have tested it from a range of 30 feet+ and it worked as it should. As for the obstacle question, I have tested inside my steel office drawer, and it worked again exactly as intended. The remote doesn't use the traditional IR blaster found in TV remotes and instead uses a technology similar to wireless mouse dongle.
      Hope this helps.

      @@RandomTeq thank you for the quick answer. This gimble will make it easier to record youth sports games for my son. I can use the remote to get the perfect elevation angle of the camera when my tripod is extended to 25 ft in height. (I manually turn the camera from tripod when elevated.)

    What's the distance for tracking?

    • @RandomTeq
      @RandomTeq  8 месяцев назад

      It doesn't say anywhere in the manual, but from experience, it's about 6 meters or 19 feet.
      This is the distance I tested, but judging the responsiveness and how quick it detects the face, I'd say probably a little more than that.

      @@RandomTeq Thanks! I think another commenter mentioned using it on a tall tripod for youth sports recording. That would be my use, too. Being able to set A and B for both halves of the field while the camera was in position would have been an amazing feature but I understand the mount wasn't design with that use in mind. • @RandomTeq
      @RandomTeq  Месяц назад +1

      I had to do a test to confirm.
      It doesn't work with the camera+lens+cage+light+mic (my regular gear). The gears skip or won't respond to the button press.
      Test with camera+lens+cage (weighting 908g)
      30° = yes
      45° = yes
      Anything beyond this point it struggles.
      If you're doing it with a smartphone, it will handle it with rase in all directions.

    avoid tip over with big lenses by using rail brackets and/or gimbal to center the mass.

      I used a large quick release plate to offset the center of the weight and it works. It's only when you tilt the camera forward that it tends to tip over.

      Got you, flick the switch to the up position, check the channel number on the device, and match it with the remote, if says 1 on the device for example, click up or down on the remote, once they're both on the same channel, the "select channel" in red text, will turn into coordinates that matches the coordinate on the device,.
      If that doesn't work, DM on Instagram, and I will send you a video of a quick demo.

      Ich sehe, Ihr Problem ist anders als meines. Wir müssen bedenken, dass die Beständigkeit dieser Produkte fraglich ist.
      Versuchen Sie, den Kanal sowohl auf der Fernbedienung als auch auf dem Gerät zu ändern, und sehen Sie, ob es hilft. Sie können auch überprüfen, ob die Geschwindigkeit auf 8 eingestellt ist.
      Wenn Sie wissen, was Sie tun, können Sie versuchen, es zu öffnen. Diese Geräte sind für die mechanische Bewegung auf Öl angewiesen.

      Ich schätze es auf etwa 2 bis 3 Stunden. Voll aufgeladen hält es zwischen 4 und 5 Stunden (obwohl die Hersteller 8 bis 10 Stunden angeben). Ich schenke ihm nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit, da er die meiste Zeit auf meinem Schreibtisch liegt und das Aufladen kein Problem darstellt. Insgesamt bin ich mit der Akkulaufzeit zufrieden.
