Honestly I'm rooting for DRX, they've struggled a bit but I feel they've reached the point of perfect synergy. Watching them play yesterday was a literal pleasure.
I am a viper otp mostly. It was very easy to come up with an idea for CT side. And what FPX did was very close to what i expected. I would have put the orb oneway on the garage entrance, but suygetsu‘s orb was better for various reasons. But the A site thing with the idea to devalue the A lobby control usually taken by the breach comp (with the B choke cover as a bonus for retakes) was expected, and quite effective in my eyes. But I had close to no idea on how to approach the t side, and neither did fpx. I‘d place the viper smoke between the box on c site and the square thing on the left to swoop peek ct, but that‘s the only thing that came to my mind
Viper really struggles on T side Haven. It's not like Bind, Fracture, or Pearl where she CAN solo controller effectively, but it's more like she just doesn't provide a lot of value on Haven. Despite the Omen, Viper really doesn't contribute all that much in FPX's attack. Her orb is replaceable with Omen (but better), her mollies are unable to force valuable repositions in most popular spots, and her ultimate is really only useful on A.
@@jakelee7083 But they were finding value. They were getting control of A lobby and they were keeping defenders in A and/or forcing them to use utility. DRX won 7 out of the 10 rounds by defuse, so they were just going insane on the retakes. Very well done and they were also winning almost every duel. Would they have done better with a different agent? Maybe. Maybe not. But if they could have held the site 1 or 2 rounds, the result could have been very different.

@@plaZ999 kinda sad the round doesn't end when you plant the spike. you can't take site and have nothing else. They got there, and then they were stuck. Wall A, all C is not enough
@@peugas13 Getting passive control over A lobby means nothing if defenders stay on one side of the wall. I.e. they either all push the wall or stay behind it. And with DRX's comp, they weren't really gonna challenge A lobby with util anyway.
The viper wall might have been better if used on c every round, where they can use omen smokes for the first hit but alway have that viper wall on c to go back to. Vipers wall is actually really good on c, with it getting garage, ct, and messing with anyone on logs. It's at least an alternative
I’d argue that the viper wall got tons of value, there were consistently 3 players on a, problem is that there was kj util holding the gaps in the defense enabling drx to just stack A every round and the only time fpx broke the util was to hit B site, where they got util dumped off the face of the planet
Yess drx synergy was insane that second half!! Always trading, always waiting for each others util. Buzz aim was always better than fpx. But even if their aim wasn't perfect they still win cos they're not alone eg mako on C with the 4k, his first kill aim wasn't pretty
DRX in peak form has always been a top 3 team in the world, its just they let nerves get to em, Im from NA and Optic has always been my fav team from NA so i want to see them Win but i Also want a non Na/Emea region to win something and im also a big DRX fan so im torn about todays match, rn im just hoping it goes a map 5 then whoever wins wins
How have you not made a video talking about LOUD yet? There's a lot to discuss about them and the only reason you even made a video about their match was because of being mad that DRX lost. The guys just made it to grand finals, they deserve some respect.
During the commentary, iirc he said Loud VS Optic was mainly nobody on Optic but yay being able to win any duels at all, and even then, they didn't maximize his time with an op. Compare that vs a viper on haven, it's easy to tell which is more likely to make it into a video.
i strongly believe that fpx messed up a lot on the postplant in round 15 by not deciding to push the isolated members of drx in garage/spawn. They got pinched and they couldnt do anything after that even tho they knew there were more than 2 players pushing from behind
