    q13# No linked list is not both types. It's a LINEAR DATA STRUCTURE

      Linked list is linear as our data is in a adjacent way, in line wise logically , but if we are talking about memory, we use pointers so in memory our data is in non linear way because pointers are not stored as a linear fashion they are scattered in memory but pointers have reference and if we connect reference of all the pointers then we see that our data is linear way in linked list logically ....... Sorry if I write some think wrong or you don't understand

    what is the difference between pointer to pointer variable and void pointer ?

    • @Intellipaat
      @Intellipaat  3 года назад +1

      Conceptually, when a pointer has that null value it is not pointing anywhere. Void pointer is a specific pointer type - void * - . a pointer that points to some data location in storage, which does not have any specific type. Null pointer is a value, while void pointer is a type.

    • @Makwayne
      @Makwayne 4 года назад +3

      Yep. Can understand better using new and delete in c++
      eg.
      int *pointVar
      pointVar = new int[10] //creates an array pointVar of size 10
      //memory is allocated, pointer is used
      delete pointVar //memory is deallocated
      if using simply,
      int pointVar[10];
      the memory allocation is automatic
