- However, shoes with extra-long tips were usually relegated to the wealthiest people who could afford to walk around in such impractical footwear, according to Atlas Obscura. Essentially, the shoes were a status symbol for the rich, just like private jets, yachts, and expensive watches are today.
I don't know why,but there's something scary to me when seeing that shoe
It seems to me that the men, especially in gathering situations, had to be looking down a lot of the time to make sure that (a) they weren't stepping on someone else's shoes, or (b) some one else wasn't stepping on their shoes. How could they not. I imagine every one shuffling around and looking at the floor constantly. Maybe they stood very far apart from each other. The whole thing is comical. There is a similar trend in men's boots from Mexico.
Great video! Very interesting and I especially liked the pictures & photos
Yeah, but some of the pictures were A.I. , you can tell by the toes ;)
Thank you very much!

Jokes aside, that was excellent. You had me watching a 10 minute vid about shoes, and none of them turned into robots. Impressive
Mediocre ai job at best.
I should think it for their use in killing bugs in corners
Interesting and educational. t would have been nice to have the illustrations match up with what was being described in the voice-over, however.
Hello, is not so easy to find images that match up exactly, I try to do my best
thank you
Pest control then was crude. They needed them to step on bugs that ran into corners.
3:19 I was wondering at this point why your subject and images were not organized up to your usual standard. And then I realized that you were not the _Medieval Madness_ Channel!
I know this is a Channel with a more generalized topic, but the difference was so blindingly shocking three minutes in that I had to comment on it. That's what I get for tapping quickly on a thumbnail, instead of waiting to read the rest of the information first. If you like this Channel and this video in particular, you would probably love _Medieval Madness._
Popular of imperial and royal courts of nobility where the ooor simple strapped sandals like
Great video!👌
Thanks!
I would like to know if the Krakow shoe had any influence to the construction of ballet point shoes? That would make an interesting video. One show I watched attributed ballet itself to Louis the sun king. Wonder if there is any truth in that? Seems like about the right period of time.
Dancing on point prevents the knee joint from being ripped apart by the drag of a planted foot during turns. Horses are essentially on point all the time, and that allows them to be great athletes.
What appears to be affectation often has a practical explanation.
I bet stairs were a pain
Interesting, but too much repeating facts, could have been a great 6 minute video.
