I normally use the armour with highest poise possible and the shield with the most stability for this fight, it's always easy after you kill the dogs XD
@@mommyuki am I able to wear any armor I want in this game? As long as I don't go over the weight limit of course. Also YES the dogs are the biggest pain I've had in this game so far, not even the elden ring dogs are this problematic!
@sicoticeinstein if you are overburned you can't roll or run, but any shield with more stability than the grass crest shield is able to absorb all of the damage of his attacks (except the really strong one where). I'd recommend using the Elite Knight set, which is found at darkroot garden. It probably put you in mid roll range tho.
My strategy is to basically run to his right and then go to the stairs, the poise of the armour will make so you won't be stunned by the dogs, after killing them you just shield all of his attacks and evade the stronger one
