The singing is amazing, but this is a better recording than the other one as you can see Hadley's facial expression/acting/body language/gesture so clearly. So much emotion, pain, frustration, sadness....just ..... watching this...hurts..... :')

I've watched all the versions of this song but this is my favourite. I come back and rewatch every so often, or after I watch a different version. The storytelling in the singing is so well done and that huge note takes my breath away every time.

Thanks for sharing! I saw Hadley in The Pirate Queen when it was in Chicago and was blown away by his voice. His is still the most powerful, most beautiful voice I have have heard live. Still gives me chills just thinking about it.

Saw AZ sing this song live at Scott Alan's O2 concert (as part of a duet). Thought that AZ sang it beautifully and was the only person i have heard to even come close to Hadley's stunning version of this song. Mind you, Hadley is still the best by a mile. Hugely talented man.

Yes - I'm being lazy and asking here. What is the singers background? I'm assuming Broadway. If not, he's missed his calling.

Hadley Fraser has performed roles in famous musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera or Les Miserables. He still hasn't given up on this activity, so don't worry:D
You can find recordings of his performances in the same Les Miserables, as well as in other musicals!! Or just perfomances from concerts.
I can't say for sure about this song, but it seems to be written by Scott Alan, and Hadley has performed as its performer more than once
Let me clarify again with the answer. Hadley Fraser is theatre actor, he starts in career playing musicals in West End, London but further on he also did couple of plays too also in West End. He's famous, if you search his name here you'll find his pro shot performances in Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. But in this moment in the video he was in Broadway at that time, he was in a musical called The Pirate Queen which is written by the same guys who wrote Les Miserables. It was bad and didn't last long and since then he never did a show on Broadway ever again except for that one concert around a decade ago. This song, as far as I know, it's not a musical. Scott Alan the songwriter did work with many Broadway and West End actors and I think write some obscured musicals.

Scott Alan is the composer, and Hadley performs it on the CD, "Keys - the music of Scott Alan." I believe it is available on both Amazon and I-Tunes.
