      Car care nut has a good video on how to do it. I had intentions to rebuild it but got lucky with the used set I got. Maybe when these boots give out.

      Hey thank you for this detailed explanation. I am in need on an axle for my 4Runner. How do you know if my axles that are on are OEM? I am the second owner and my axle has surface rust. Did you notice any obvious differences between the OEM once you have and the after market once you were taking off? I would greatly appreciate your input.

      If yours has the clamps like I showed with the diameter in mm as I talked about, it’s OEM. Aftermarket have different clamps sometimes and also different diameter. Looks for the OEM markings on the boot if it’s still there.
