    Man, I love Reggie. He's so intelligent and genuine. He's the kind of person I'd love to have as a boss - a true leader who people can rally behind. He should really run for president.

    He is so savvy and intelligent. Kinda sad we didn't get to see this side of him until he retired. But then again I guess we got to experience it through all the stuff he helped Nintendo give us through the decades.

    Best speaker I can think of in gaming history of all time. Name one better please id love to know. He even beats Steve Jobs in terms of ability for me.
    Plus him being a minority when he first came onto nintendo even I was like who's this....not because of his ethnicity but he was different visually and through words and actions. But he spoke so bs style like a presidential speech yet was legit and never let me down but I always expected him to.
    Every performance I expected a let down to get more gold and be more proud of him and he helped me learn sales big time.

    Great talk for sure, but covering also some rather problematic vision of the future games market. I still don't get why it should be possible to monetize videogames to such a degree, they were initially NOT AT ALL built for (Having fun, playing a game by yourself). The industry, Reggie Fils-Aimé included, tries very hard to break a case for exactly that, hurting the Videogame-Entertainment-Ecosystem STRONGLY in the process. And it‘s not like that this is only possible due to blockchain-technology (a PHP-database would've also worked), it‘s just that they got inspired by other super stupid blockchain-commodities. Loot-boxes and Pay-to-win were not enough to them, so here we are. And now, I look forward to the fake-comment of some PR-Agency, mimicking some NFT-enthusiastic user: bring it on ;-)

    Even though he's retired He's still a part of Nintendo. He even worked on the switch while Iwata we're still around. The switch itself is a tribute to Iwata and Reggie. The frustrating part is people are too lazy to even remember or realize that both him and Reggie were working on it. Sadly the people also attack other people for saying their opinions about the switch over the online membership and use Iwata's death as a weapon against them and Nintendo in a disgusting and disturbing way that disturbed a bunch of innocent people online. In reality both Shuntaro Furukawa and Doug Bowser never made the decision to make paid online games. It was planned long before they even became presidents. Even though both Iwata and Reggie are no longer working at Nintendo but we still got Sakurai Bill and Shigeru Miyamoto So there's still hope and good for Nintendo. What people really need to do is think clearly and get accurate information rather than listening to misinformation and the people attacking other people for loving the online membership in their opinion. Yes I will agree that the online does have its fair share problems but I do love playing with my friends on Smash Bros and it runs smoothly for me. People really need to be more respectful to other respectful people sometimes. Like I said. Even though Reggie is retired he still a part of Nintendo.

    • @MikeyTaylorGaming
      @MikeyTaylorGaming 2 года назад

      I'm not for or against NF/Ts, but You honestly need to get a grip and just embrace. Whether it's useful tech or not, it's not going anywhere and we can't stop it. Enjoy your life instead of caring.
      I've made money through crypto currency (not NF/Ts). If you learn to trade, you can make money. Too many people dive in blind, listen to people with ridiculous claims and lose money. It's only a scam if you're stupid enough to feed into these peoples scams.
      If you're smart enough, you can treat it like a video game and profit from any of this tech honestly. Otherwise, just don't buy any, can't get mad that way 😂

      Uh it is, just look at what happened to Luna coin. It went to 0 in less than a day, billions of dollars lost… where is that money?
      NFT is another stupid concept, just go and purchase a real art from an actual artist and not some meme or drawings that only value is a feeling/emotion.

    You think his blood on the stairs story is an indicator of a rough upbringing....
    When I was still in primary school--and this is in Edinburgh, Scotland in the United Kingdom--I woke up on New Years day to notice my dad wasn't around the house, so I went to the front door for whatever reason, and there I saw a bunch of full handprints in blood around the frame of the door and various puddles of blood and bloody footprints on the ground. What was up with that, I wondered. Well, as it turned out my dad had been attacked by some random gangsters or something in the middle of the night, who had proceeded to smash glass milk bottles and then stab them into his head multiple time and turn them to create circle wounds, slashed both his wrists numerous times, stabbed him multiple times, broke his ribs, and broke both his legs by apparently either jamming them under some garage door or running over them with a car, as he recalls--yup, he survived this. Nice to wake up on New Years day to find that scene and discover what had happened the night before when I was peacefully sleeping in my bed, and then obviously to have to go to hospital to visit my dad and see the number they had done on him. Also, my mum used to send me around the bottom of our block of flats to collect the cigarette ends that people had thrown out the window after smoking them, so she could use them to create a single home-made cigarette from the remains that had literally being lying the ground outside for days and weeks. And that's just two of a whole lot of stories like that I could tell you. Oh, and I also ended up in foster care too eventually, obviously as a result of the stuff I just told you and all the other stuff I didn't. Reggie didn't have it so bad growing up. lol
    PS. I now make video games too--go figure! Hahaha!
