I have said this before...but it's so true I must say it again. You my dear are such a lovely mommy. A little girl could not be luckier than Delilah. The doll house and all takes me back to mine. So much happiness. And I'm a lover of fairys too. Such lovely stories for little girls...love all this...wrapping gifts, making pompoms, listening to carols. My heart grows so very warm...thank you dear...and a Very Merry Christmas to you and yours. Give Delilah an extra cuddle for me.
Rhiannon, you can spend your money however you please. If you want to buy gifts for your daughter, you can. Delilah is so polite and caring, I'm sure she deserves to have a special gift like a Doll's House :) Merry Christmas!
You can spend your money in whatever way you want Rhiannon if people don’t like it well that’s their own problem. You always put a lot of thought and care into the presents you give Delilah every year. You don’t just buy random things you get the things she may need or what she will really treasure and appreciate for many many years. It’s what I really like about your family and the vlogs is that you are genuine, honest and relatable.

Delilah’s “How about me” broke my heart! Rhiannon I think tbe way you go about Christmas for Delilah is quite nice: a few small gifts with one big special one. But either way - she’s your child and it’s your money and how you choose to spend it on her is up to you. No explanations needed. I always wanted a doll house when I was little and seeing how much care you put into the items you selected was really lovely. ❤️

I'm not the richest person, we can barely afford to pay our house note this month, but I find so much comfort in how you live your life and I'd be the same one day. Sweet Delilah, didn't throw a tantrum or anything about her presents, just got quietly upset. Shows how lovely a mom you are ♥️

Oh wow what a throwback. I had one of those fairy books, the hardback one with loads in and i was absolutely obsessed with it. It was my great grandmas and i was obsessed with it from before i could even read. She gave me it when she passed away and it’s probably my most treasured possession. I’m sure delilah will love it and keep it for years

i wrapped my families gifts while watchiing this. annd the thing i noyiced is your bubbly personality and carre towards Delila i'm only 12 and my parents buy one big presents then a few little ones like you do! and i think it teaches kids to be grateful of what they do have and not think christmas was a fail coz they didnt get everything on their 20 page essay of a christmas list. love you!!!! take care

I don't remember getting my doll house at Christmas. I would say I was about 4 or 5 years old. But I still love it to bits, and I played with it till I was 14 or 15. My parents had gotten me the 1900 Playmobile mansion (I think maybe I might have gotten the farmhouse first) and, just like you, had gotten a few add-ons right from the start so that I could play. And then every year after that, I would get more add-ons. Then my sisters started getting other Playmobile bits, so by the time we were all teens, we'd ended up with an entire village.
That fairy book, when you opened it up to the yellow fairy, it brought back a deep childhood memory I didn’t know I had!! I had those books when I was Delilahs age :)

It’s funny, because I was just talking about you & Delilah to my Mum yesterday, & how I just love the whole mantra / thought behind your way of life. You’ve never not recognised that you’re blessed, & that’s incredibly humbling. You spend your money on items that will last, & in our current society where a lot of parents do feel the pressure to overwhelm / spoil their children with gifts at this time of year, you keep the meaning of it - spending time with loved ones, making memories - while putting a lot of thought into Delilah’s gifts that she can not only enjoy now, but through the years as she grows. That’s no mean feat!
I’ve got friends who have struggled to buy their little ones gifts, & I know they’d feel the same way as I do when watching you. You should never feel ashamed or embarrassed to share your life due to others circumstances, you’re a truly wonderful thoughtful mother, you aren’t frivolous, you just spend wisely.
One day Delilah will look back on all of this & be so thankful to you for making & creating a beautiful childhood for her.
I’m alone this year, with not much to my name. I’ll openly admit to avoiding a lot of vlogmas style videos, not because I’m not happy for them, but I’m just feeling particularly fragile. I’ve not felt that watching you. Just warmth. Being chronically disabled means I may not always have the best days, but it’s genuinely lovely to sit down & watch someone who’s welcoming to everyone regardless of their walk of life or situation. I have the flower fairy books! They were my mums when she was a kid. I love them, my favourite is the autumn fairies (I was born in autumn and my mum was too).
The presents you buy Delilah are so gorgeous and thoughtful. The fairy book I had as a kid and loved them for years and years, I am sure shell love them!
There is a puzzle book version of the fairy book you brought which could be really lovely for Delilah - I had it when I was growing up!

I’m a firm believer that even though it is important to save, it’s also important to treat yourself and those you love within your means. It really can be therapeutic.
