Hi Akki!!! Good to see you after a long time. Hello Saurabh, I have also come to know about you from instagram newly and thanks for posting those amazing tutorials there. Iam just a amateur singer and play the acoustic guitar a bit. As Akki has rightly pointed out bassist doesn't get recognition. this reason could be because of lack of awareness. On every live show or thru social media u guys need to make aware people about how bass is the platform of a band, jazz, symphony etc. But having said that as u guys had shared that bass is more popular abroad might be because a jazz, rock or metal composition can never be complete without bass whereas in India in Assamese music or bollywood the genre is that of melody , for example Zubeen Garg songs need to have bass. Now coming to north indian taste parricularly Delhi, the ignorant people there only love shaadi wala songs mainly punjabi songs where drum beats dhol etc are the base instuments. but bass or no bass doesn't matter to them, only thing they know that the lyrics should contain "kudee", Kudee "dil le gayee" that's it and the song turns super duper hit. Iam from Assam but lived in North India for 22 years and I can very well understand, compare the difference in musical taste. Just my thought. tnx. 👍👍 Pratyush K Sharma, whatsapp - +91 8368265305
Ashish sir plz tell something about Akashdeep sir.I am big big fan of Gogoi sir .Bass guitar sound is my heart & soul.I had recognised BASS sound very early in those days I was in school .
Main sir Odisha se hun ,abhi yahan Bass thoda kya bahut upar bajta hai.Matlab mera kaam ho gaya.Mera city jo hai chota hai , lekin abhi high technology bahut jyada use ho raha hai, mixture machines, cross overs ,big brand amplifiers ,only model I remember C11,big players pope ,Bose,JBL
If you guys need recognition for bass I suggest, u need to do networking abroad as well. Or comeup with ur very own hindi assamese bass based albums in a unique way which will connect the Indian audience.
Sir "bass" guitar pata hi nahi logo ko hota kya hai sir sach hai yeh ! Guitar hi pata hai logo ko ! Bass guitar pehle to sunai hi nahi deta , just " tang" , " tang " lagta hai ! It's true sir I am North India I really didn't know what bass is ,until I saw school of bass !
Gogoi Sir you are my role model how can you say that u r frustrated.I have listened a lot about Mr late TONY VAZ.He has worked with RD Burman sir.MrKeithPeter & Mohini De is with MrAR Rehman .I can't advice you but why you aren't not with MrAR Rehman ,with MrAnuMallik ,you are much more deserving candidate.I should say MrAR Rehman he travels world tour

Thanks for watching the video bros...but I would like to point out one thing here, just becoz auto wala is a very famous song it doesn't mean that there is no other forms of music available in our region. Rock music has become an uncommercial commodity nowadays due to change of people's taste in the sound but it's very much there. Rock shows doesnot happen that many but there are certain places in Guwahati that have live rock bands playing on a regular basis viz Cafe Hendrix, Urban Mantra. Also the influence of rock is still evident among all musicians, especially guitarist, bassist and drummers. Never say that Assam mein rock music hota hi nahi hai, rock events uthna nahi hotey but influence was, is and will always be there. If u compare the population of Guwahati and Mumbai, Guwahati's population is only 10% of Mumbai's and the only Venue hosting rock events in Mumbai is HRC and a couple of unknown pubs. Guwahati may have only 2 or 3 places, so as per statistics Guwahati has a better ratio. Peace bros !🙏
