Trains at Heckershausen with Kurhessenbahn Desiro and Regiotram in diesel mode

Heckershausen is part of the municipality of Ahnatal with approx. 2000 inhabitants, 7km northwest of Kassel. Heckershausen is on the railway line from Kassel to Korbach, and has two stations on it. The Ahnatal-Heckershausen station consists of two tracks and an island platform in between, which can be reached at ground level via track 1. The crossing station was built from 2010 to 2011, and was previously a single-track stop. The Ahnatal-Casselbreite stop is located approx. 700m east of the Heckershausen train station and has two side platforms. Like the crossing station, it was built from 2010 to 2011 as part of the route expansion. Both stations are served every half hour by the RT4 line.
