I don't know anyone who knows Florence who doesn't absolutely love her, trouble is no where near enough people know her. She is a generational talent, INCREDIBLE voice, makes some beautiful songs as well as some absolute bangers, and has an amazing stage presence. Don't get me wrong, she's done very well for herself, but with her talent she should be one of the biggest artists of this generation if not all time.
She hasn’t lost the power of her voice, in fact it’s only got better. It’s more seasoned over the years. She’s just learned when to use those big notes and when she doesn’t have to. Doesn’t mean she can’t! Live performances of hers here recently have proven that. Also the shows she cancelled wasn’t because of her voice it was because of a foot injury. She did a cover of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac that’s only available on RUclips in my opinion is better than the original.
I think she’s also internalised a bit of the criticism that she just yells in all her songs. I’ve never understood that criticism, I could listen to her yell all day. Personally I miss some of the “yelling” but I agree it’s a style thing and overall her vocals get better and better every album. I saw her live last year and she certainly hasn’t lost any of the power in her voice
