That's a tough race, a lof of vertical gain. I did my first trail race last month, a UTMB, 50k with +2200 and struggled as I did not expect climbs to be as steep (or descents; these were the real trouble). I did reach the end on time though and am a finisher! Good effort and video!
Thanks for you comment and well done! I have run many ultras but never been any good in an alpine environment. I suppose it is difficult to train for the elevation and also to come from sea level - anyhow, we were pleased with the race despite not finishing. Take care
Hi! We stayed in Santa Cruz but would choose the other side if I did it again. Probably Los Llanos for convenience but If staying longer maybe by the beach in Tazacorte. Good luck!

Thank you for for the files! The shots are great and I might even reedit my film and include theme at some point. I realise the race is a bit tough for me due to the height and the cut-off times (unless the cut off we would have finished I am sure), so I am thinking asking one of my daughters to join me for the marathon in 2024 instead.
