    US Production numbers
    2004 CLK 55 AMG Coupe: 509
    2004 S 55 AMG: 854
Crazy to think that the CLK 55 was actually the rarer of the two. Turns out price did not equal rarity in this era of AMG, quite the opposite and Motorweek has always been conservative with it's numbers. The CLK 55 does 0-60MPH in 4.7-4.6 Seconds while the S55 does 0-60MPH in 4.6-4.5 Seconds. Also, the CLK 55 does 13.2 to 13 Seconds flat in the 1/4 mile while the S55 is known to crack the 12's in 12.8 to 13.1 Seconds in the 1/4 mile.

Damn so the N/A clk55 is .1 second slower than the blower s55. Damn the s55 must be heavy

it´s almost a limousine man, and the automatic transmissions are very slow on the past

It shows the tires of that era were really holding the s55 back. Today's sticky tires make a world of difference I beat most of today's muscle cars

@@ericdanzero1974 acceleration is more complex than that though.

Man the S55's launch must have been junk. I went 12.9 at 108 in mine and 0-60 in 4.1 bone stock.
