I found mine for 5 years never has jammed one time I've never even cleaned it yet. The camouflage hasn't even look like it wants to peel off. It's absolutely the best shotgun I've ever owned I would highly recommend it to anybody . 100000 round guarantee for 7 years .

Great review. I too grew up in a family that loved Brownings, and A5s specifically. I have a couple of Sweet 16s in the safe.....just picked up a 28" A5 12 in Mossy Oak Habitat. Was a tough choice between the Maxus 2 and the A5, but I am used to the sight line of the humpback, and I think it is great that Browning is staying true to their roots with this offering for the time being.
I love this review strictly for the fact that you shared why you chose it and what features you like. Picking a gun is all about what feels right to YOU. When I bought my new shotgun I couldn’t stand the way the A5 shouldered on me and what my line of vision was down the barrel. Benelli is far superior for me Personally. I’m just glad something that I didn’t like, works great for someone else.
I like your review!... I bought an A5 summer of ‘19... July ‘19 went to local clay bird course. I put slightly over 100 rounds through it. This gun ran so SMOOTH, as if it were soaked with 🧈 butter!.. September 1 comes. The opening of Dove season here in Illinois.. I know I ran 300 plus shells. I’m a believer in, if I pay this much for a gun, it should eat what ever shells I feed it.. low brass, high brass. Winchester/ Federal/Remington and so on... then come October we started crow hunting. This is when it started. It started to fail to eject.. and by now I was feeding it nothing but Federal waterfowl #4 steel.. it started intermittently then every shell..$1600 shotgun ! I contacted Browning. The guy I talked to said he knew exactly what the problem was. The extraction pin that’s the little black thing on the outside of the bolt... he said they are bending which causes the failure to eject.. so Browning mails me a new bolt with that black finger thingy already installed... unfortunately by that time my boys are into wrestling season... no time to mess with gun... but now that season has ended.. I intend to do the install and sling some lead soon.. also one last thing.. we are getting a chocolate lab pup in a few weeks. We’ve been watching your videos with Rocky. AWESOME!!... we will be utilizing what your sharing!.. I went to buy Chris Atkins Duck Dog Basics... Sold out!!.... bummer! Sorry that this comment was so long!
i know im late to the party but i just bought the same a5/camo you picked for all the same reasons!, my father still has his belgium A5 and honestly... its just too damn heavy for me so i went with this one! so excited
I used to use an original Browning A5, then went to a Browning A500R. Love that gun, slays the ducks, perfect shouldering. Now I use the A500 and a mossberg 835 waterfowl for refuge hunts
I just bought exactly the same model and version. I have two questions for you and will appreciate it if you could answer. First, according to your experience which shell length work best with it? Second, which shell did you find giving best results out of it?
You definitely can shoot steel out of full chokes, just not factory ones. Patternmaster Code Black Goose is essentially an extra full and you can shoot steel no problem
Good review! The Browning A5 is definitely one of the shotguns I'm interested in. SBE 3 was on top until I keep reading about the guns are shooting way high. Also considering the super vinci but a browning A5 wicked wings would be nice!
The super vinci is a badass gun! Ive shot one alot over the past few years. However, only drawback is if you go out west for snowgoose. Goodluck getting an extension for it.
@@cartermccauley7352 They are still making Super Vinci's as the shop guy told me they are still in the catalog. I have too many 12 gauges and want to switch back to duck hunting with a 20 gauge sometimes for when ammo gets tough to find and for certain spots. I am unsure if they make the super vinci in a 20 gauge but the SBE3 is now in a 20 gauge and I think they are about to release a 28 gauge.

@midvalleymerecenaries I am turning 14 this summer and I am looking for a good shotgun to hunt deer, dove, duck, and turkey with, I have a 20 gauge Winchester SX4 and I love it, but I just need something with a little more power at a reasonable price. Do you think that the A5 is a good choice for my age or should I look for something else?
Well if only I could actually find one in British Columbia 🤔 it was hard enough to find my Browning bps it took me a hole year but if I can find the a5 it's next on my list

What’s the recoil like? I’m comparing this to the SBE3. PS. Only the Browning DS ( Double Seal ) chokes use the actual brass ring on the bottom. Aftermarket DS chokes do not. The other reason I’m looking at the A5 is I have a 725 Pro Sport that uses the same chokes, but my brother has the Benelli SBE2. Personally I feel the Benelli has more recoil than piston guns. Which is why I’m wonder about the Browning A5 recoil. I might go with a Maxus or even a Beretta A400.

Hey Titus, just wondering if you’ve shot a Browning Maxus before? If so do you still recommend the A5 over it regardless of the gas vs inertia systems, because of the A5’s point ability? Been wanting to get either for a few years and now that I’m able to afford one, I can’t decide. ( ps: been watching heaps of your vids while on lockdown down here in New Zealand.
