Several passages in Islamic mysticism give divine attributes to Mohammed, thus committing shirk. The Shahada is an example of shirk by making Mohammed a partner that Allah must consult. Mohammed is addressed personally in daily prayers by Muslims, even though he is said to be dead and lying unconscious in his grave ... wherever that may be.
