- Grayl Geopress Water Purifier Review:
Water purifiers, Well we've looked at a few ( Life straws ) but this one seems to be one for the better ones. The Grayl Geopress water purifier is Ideal for cooking and filling multiple bottles.
Its a must have for the outdoors wether your a walker or into Prepping, bushcraft, woodlore, survival, hunting, fishing, trekking or just drinking out of streams and ponds.

Thanks for sharing, nice review. Recently, I bought the Grayl Geopress and I'm really happy with it! Easy handling and clean water ... perfect! :)
Welcome, we’re very happy with ours too 😁👍🏼
Great bit of kit, I’ll have to save up for a bit! Good review and great to see you out again. As always stay safe atb 👍🦊
Thanks Raynar as always bud 👍🏼
Bushcraft with Dave & Helen. Looks like a good bottle to carry in case you run out or don’t want to carry the weight of water to a camp. I get lumbered with a 3L CamelBak for the two of us, does help slow me down though!
Haha, bush craft… growing up in the 70/80s we called it making a base or den 😂
I usually consume 2-3L of water myself (however I always wear long sleeves/long trousers) for uv and ticks protection. So gonna get this filter, despite they say in Scottish Highlands u can drink water from tge streams - am alright :)
Gonna probably use UV lamp on the top of the filter just in case xD
What a great channel. Congrats on your Expedition rig. Just started viewing your other content. We are building one for our documentary starting in the spring.
Have you joined the different forums and Facebook groups? Europe and USA? I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands that would enjoy your rig and your tours not to mention all your other content.
I'll be binge watching the next few days. Again great channel 👏 👍
Ps. To help your fans help you Can you make a playlist that has all your videos? So we your viewers can binge watch all your videos while you get a big boost in views and watch times.
Hello and welcome
Thanks for the comments, it gives us a great boost and keep filming. What are you building/converting?
We’re not really on forums etc, I tend to get info straight of the net sorry, but please feel free to share our channel.
@@Overlandtraveladventure I have been graced to build out multiple channels. Forums and groups are great to find similar fans that would welcome your content. I look at it this way one channel pays my car note, another pays my insurance etc. Also add your tags of similar channels and key words. You could reach 50k subs in the year and generate 2-4k+- a month
@@Overlandtraveladventure we are looking at a Ford f750 chassis with a composite box. Was thinking of a military truck conversion but will be driving alot so looked at something a little more comfortable
@@livingworkingoutsidebox the f750 looks a great vehicle, i’m sure you’ll be more than happy with that! 😁👍🏼
Awesome bit of kit bud 👍🏻
Good review Dave a mate of mine is talking about buying one of these.
Thanks Barry, they are good. Sorry We didn’t around over exmas 🐶
@@Overlandtraveladventure no probs at all Dave the Blackberry whisky needs another month yet before I bottle it. 🥃🥃🥃
@@GrandadBaz 😁👍🏼
Is it worth doing a PPM test before and after?
Great video
Good point, although i’ve just had to google PPM 😂
But I think Its worth doing another trip out with a ppm tester next month along with some other new kit.. stay turned and thanks for the comment 😁👍🏼
@@Overlandtraveladventure hehe nice one I look forward to checking it out I couldn't find any reviews that actually done this so probably worth a shot... There are some other tests you may be interested in which go hand in hand with the PPM test - gardeners and growers usually use them so fairly easy to come across if you take a lookie.
You are welcome and thanks for having me. For the record I just ordered one anyway haha. Take care.
@@ross4675 thanks, its a great bit of kit. Having that ability to use the water for cooking is a great bonus 😁👍🏼
I usually take my empty containers and fill them up at the creek😁
Do yourself a favor and add a Millbank bag to your kit in order to pre-filter the water of turbidity. It will make your Grayl filter last a lot longer.
Cool idea, cheers William 👍🏼
Life straw isn’t a water purifier. There is a difference between a purifier and a filter
How would you know it’s done it’s 350 cycles of clean water , coz you can’t count them all , does it just get bunged up to the point you can press it in ? Thanks 👍🏻 ps what’s the tarp in the background ??
Good point Jim, I guess its a round a bout figure so if the water is very dirty then its gunna be far less than 350. maybe when the filter looks brown its time to change it!?
The tarp is my present from H, and thats a fjallraven. I’ll do a review on this at somepoint showing a few configurations. Just need a little longer day light hours. 😁👍🏼
you change the filter if press down takes over 25 seconds or 3 years since first use.
Its a total scam. I used it for past 3 days to filter about 20 liters of water. I prefiltered the water beforehand. Its completly blocked. 800 Dkk. A joke.
The 24oz can be backflushed with an aldi 15oz tika masala glass bottle, 🤣. Fill the inner bottle to 1/4 full with purified water and put the glass bottle in and push. Untwist filter and push glass out from bottom and repeat steps. Do it 5-10 times. Easy.
Interesting, cheers Luke… or Lee 😁
@@Overlandtraveladventure I just uploaded a video on how to do it. It works decent enough. 👍
Great bit of kik. What stopped it getting a 10/10?
Hi Ash, just its weight when empty really. but like you say, its a great bit of kit.. 😁👍🏼
