Kudos to Bra Dave for putting himself in the shoes of the average man on the streets during this interview and asked the questions most of us ask ourselves 🎉🎉🎉
Great show, I believe that one should truly save for no reason, the reason will come and the money will have grown. That’s how I managed to buy something like a car cash because I lived my life as normal and with what I can afford and always putting something away. Until I decided that I need something and boom there was money available. Thanks good sirs for a great information.
I could listen to Max all day-he's like a walking TED Talk: sharp, captivating and oozing in knowledge. His English? Let’s just say it practically comes with a blazer and a school crest 😁👌. Thoroughly enjoyed this
Roaming thoughts: Have an emergency fund that is 3 to 6 months' worth of your expenses, for emergencies like job loss. If debt is your emergency fund, then you are screwed. During an emergency, you are desperate, you do not think rationally, and you are riddled with emotion, so you will make stupid decisions. You will accept a high interest rate because you "dont have a choice."
Sssssss.... Yey Bro Dave we were not ready for this or should I say personally. I find myself looking for ways to make money, save and still maintain a lifestyle but dilo tsedi hanging.. wow good chat we need to have more conversations
Saving is good but one can't be saving for the sake of saving. Life is for living. Work and keep healthy, educate your kids and take life insurance then enjoy life.
how does poverty interfere with access to services and information. So much is based on context. How to read and interpret your situation. What are your options? What are your basic needs at this moment? Too much advice is disconnected or distant from personal context. Let us first examine the personal context of the individual, then tailor the advice or principle to their reality.
I recently joined the financial services industry and the excuses that I hear on a daily basis are outrageous , it is so discouraging to continue working because ''our people'' don't see the value in taking out Life cover/Life cover with payout/disability cover/income protector/retrenchment protector/critical illness cover/education savings. And don't get me started on saving and investing.
In your Reality find your truth and strength, what might work for one person might not necessarily work for you , experience is the best teacher , Learn and Grow.
"Die with R0.00". Problem is you don't know when you are going to die. People have tried to do it, but they found themselves waking up one day as alive as ever before, but they were broke like never before 😂
Debt is a future crime...you are committing it everyday your sentence for your accumulated crimes happens when you can no longer earn an income or are sick.
Its funny how the players at the end of the distribution channel aren't taken care of, even though they are the pushers. Our leaders need to rethink this.
I am Financial Adviser My self for a over 15 Years .Mr Mojapelo just brought to life even more the gore hee banna le basadi , we need to and caltivate that culture of simply saving and of a spending one. ..Two Pot ..400 odd pay slips ove4 your working life .. 27. 5 % ..At least 10 - 15 % savings .. Regulation 28 etc Lastly ,Even Financial advisors can be bad Financial advisers to themselves. Listening to this also helped me and My self...😊 Thank you Lot Bra Mdeva.

Roaming thoughts : Social media and comparison. We are busy comparing ourselves to our former classmates and friends. Comparison is the thief of joy.

The fact that when you withdraw from the 2-pot you get taxed is sad, also the tax after retirement is also a depressing issue 🙃

Roaming thought: Today people move company to company because its the only way to get a pay raise.
Saving is good but one can't be saving for the sake of saving. Life is for living.
Work and keep healthy, educate your kids and take life insurance then enjoy life.
And that right there is the wrong mentality with money or finance
