Lauma are a Baltic folk lore woodland spirit tied with womehood, child birth, and tricks. They often protect orphaned children and are considered the guardian spirit of orphans in most tales. They are also ancient, the oldest known forms being goddesses rather than simple spirits, theorized to have been created during the mesolithic period and are often depicted as taking the shape of centaurs with the bottom half being a mare or a female goat, bear, and dog.

There are several Sumeru's NPCs who are gorgeous, locked in side missions that have yet to be playable. That one girl with both parents dead during desert quests is the most recognisible one.

You can find this song on RUclips, by the way there is also a version from the closed beta, and there were lyrics in the song, but then they were removed because they would be annoying when entering the game.
I love character designs that aren't filled with the color of their vision element (for those who haven't noticed, she's Dendro), and the leaves on her outfit represent her control over Dendro well.
I like her combination of purple and the green gradient.

But they usually roll those out more the closer we get to next region. So expect more. This is not the last teaser.

Lauma's design, shapeshift into centaur, the dendro vision. As one who loves real world references (mythology to be specific), this is so interesting: Lauma, part of the Baltic mythology.
I love all the Finnish names and lore in this game!! I just started exploring and I can clearly see how some things that are heavily inspired by Finnish lore and culture. When I heard Aino is a new character, I freaked out beacuse my name is Aino, and it is a very Finnish (Kalevala) name. I didn't dare to think this area would have similarities too but it does!! Thank you genshin, you have inspired me to play again
