- Tara flies to Iceland and drives around to visit some popular sights: The city of Reykjavik, the Blue Lagoon, Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss, and Gullfoss Waterfalls and Geysir. She also visits the small island of Videy, the Raudholar craters, Hallgrimskirkja church and Nautholsvik Beach. She stayed at the Iceland Comfort Apartment Hotel. Car rental from Budget Rental cars (the car was manual as automatics are much more expensive there!)

@@TVTara Krakow is awesome, but German Death Camps, well thats something horrible to see. You should visit: Bieszczady, Mazury, Tatry, Gdansk, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Park Biebrzanski, Park Bialowieza. There is sooo much to see here :).
Iceland isn't a place for parties if that's what excites you. It's a peaceful place with some of the best scenery I've ever seen, too bad about the clouds. They're also incredibly resourceful, using glacier water and geyser water as city utility resources.
No, I don’t party. I came here just for the scenery but I meant that’s it’s not a fast-paced place.
For that admission price to the lagoon I would have spent my entire vacation there

I'm sorry a few things turned you off like the prices, messed up room, boring drives and only mostly manual cars ( which I'd struggle with! ) At least the sights were Nice! I guess a county with only 300,000 people can't afford to have many attractions that cost money to build and maintain. Natural attractions are cheap! LOL.

I had 5 full days and felt that was plenty. Everyone is different though- depends how much of a nature person you are.

Not bad at all. About 10 degrees Celsius. I didn’t need half the winter clothes I packed.

What was the it thing to do and food to eat there?
I think every tourist goes to the blue lagoon and also eats lobster soup so I did those both.
You covered the trip nicely, but I totally disagree with your statement at 04:45 that Iceland isn't '... the most exciting country...' as it's very much so. It's unique, wild, unlike any other place in the World. It's certainly isn't cheap and it probably doesn't make a good vacation destination for an average tourist. But for all the others, adventure seekers, I haven't really been to another place like this yet that has so much to offer :)
I totally see your point and was just giving my opinion. Personally I prefer more “exciting” vacations like India or else tropical beach vacations so that’s my reference point. But thanks for your comment 👍

I have never traveled outside the U. S., but I wonder how much this entire trip cost you. A ballpark figure would be fine , just to get an idea.
It was under $2000 Cdn. Very expensive in my opinion and I am quite frugal.

I have traveled all over Europe but not to Iceland. Just wondered if people of color would be accepted. Especially at the blue lagoon.....would not want to get there and not have a good time because of someone else’s ignorance......Thanks for your honest.
There were tourists of all colors at every tourist sight I went to. Definitely not an issue!
I can confirm as I am black and visited Iceland. This place is so far from the others to know racism. And I remember that he employee at the rental car office was black.
Looking to travel there in the fall. Airfare is no more expensive than any other trip to Europe from the US. Just wanted to see and do something different for a vacation this year. Thanks for your replies and video.
