You hit the nail on the head with the no prep needed.. They are the only clay tire I've used that work new and just get better until they start to ballon.. I think jc and proline might have the edge on grip when the track is new but i feel the scribbles are the best tire to use on old layouts or when there's been a lot of sauce layed down and a groove with good traction..
Hello there, i have began watching your videos for the last few weeks and have to say i see a real honesty and care in your videos, i myself am looking to buy my first car and your videos really give me the push to get racing. Thank you
Good review. I have been a huge aka supporter for years, my first choice of tire for both 1/10th and 1/8th scale. The scribbles are AWEOME for me, chain links still are good too. The clay compound from aka just works for me, always has. Prolines take way to long to break in, and I usually need a tire to work for me right away. My scribbles lasted about 3 race days plus a practice session then they were toast. Jcpncepts I will never touch, not made in America like aka,raw speed or proline but charge the same price for their tires, something to consider in the future
Run the scribbles in front and jc or proline in the rear. Thats what we ran at the archway classic and they were hooked up all day even with ghost pin in the rear. Thats what Steph was running when she got the bump into the A, and in the main.
@@RCAlley As the fronts break in they get a wider footprint and get more stable. They are our go to front and work on almost any track we go to, only change we make is the height of the pin.
is there any footage of your buddy's crash? I think I would have a good cry if my car got damaged like that 😭 I have a spare chassis, no driveshaft. But I bet there are 10 more parts to replace. Thanks for this specific video 👍 I needed to hear about those tires and I love watching the races. Your local track looks like such a great time👌
No footage, I wish. We've been getting 100+ entries for club races so it's been a lot of fun. Maybe you can make the trip down sometime. Thank you for your continued support!
Looked like that first rollover kinda messed with your head. I can relate, you make a mistake then feel like you have to drive the wheels off the thing to get the time back, only it doesn't usually work that way. And I'm not criticizing, I've been doing this on and off for over 30 years and I still get the shakes in a tense race. Not to mention that you consistently blow my doors off! LOL
Don't judge AKA because there's not many pros running them. I think that's more to do with AKA being a smaller company than Proline or JC and they only have money to pay 2 or 3 pros versus JC who has like 10. Right now AKA's pros (Tebo/Ongaro) are mostly 1/8th drivers. The AKA clay compound is amazing (way better than proline, and JC had to copy it when they came up with the silver compound). the foams are great.
I agree with you, but what's the point of being the best if you don't prove you're the best. Tires are definitely good, but a national title would really solidify that statement.
Nice review, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Love the AKA red foams and TDK sauce btw!
Thanks man. Yeah I remember your video on tdk. It's good stuff. My wife appreciates the smell.

Enjoyed this immensely. Thanks for the review and your candidness!

Great Video Vanja! I'll be trying some AKA.
I like your honesty!
Love the proline plug Connor Johnson 🤣 Kevin.
Great vid and info thank you 🏁🏁
no joke... your car looked hooked up. Rough race, but i think you had the speed to be up there with me on the scribs #scribnation #raceaka !!
Up there yes but definitely not up front. Car felt good.
Liked how the announcer call that driver who took u out
I've ran scribbles up front in 2wd and they were pretty good!

I'll give it a try. Got plenty of those rears just need more fronts

Why the holes in the foam. I wish directional tires would come with instructions.
To soften up the foam. Yeah, me too
What kind of tires do you use and compound.? Just picked up a b6.1 . Don’t know what kind of tires to go with.
Watch the videos to find out :)

question will a clay typo work in there on a wheeler
I haven't used some in a long time but they should
Nice review. Unfortunately, not all those were your mistakes, you had help from some other drivers a few times... Good jobs overall though 👍👍
Thank you! It's just racing, it happens.
It _____ happen the car look good ! Key is it a hobby not a job
