You guys familiar with BTS and Blackpink but not seventeen?! You’ve been living under the rock, man! Missing out big time. These guys are the real deal. They are the top now cos of their pure hard work. Not faltering, not bursting to fame overnight. Just slowly and steadily: Get to know them, do your homework and check out the Seventeen guide on RUclips. I hope to see you all knowing who they are in your next video. And do it really quick and you’ll have the support of Carats (the fandom). Also, check out their dance practice for Getting Closer, Fearless and Hit. Both of you will finally agree, Western dances (be it Gaga nor Beyoncé) can hold a candle. They also did the Loolapalooza in Berlin recently singing LIVE WHILE dancing rigorously! . Let’s see Gaga doing that (at best she sings live while doing hand movement while her backup dancers do the hard work and/or lift her up or something
Seventeen is the powerhouse of performance. They can do it all. They are the kings of synchronization. please check out their practice videos along with the MVs if possible.
About choreo, it's just different. In western you see more contemporary inspired stuff with many artists, and not so tightly controled choreos with manny others. Also there's mainly soloists now, so the choreo is going to look different to group choreo no matter what. And many singers are not dancers, so the type of choreo they personally do is a little different to what these kpop acts that have trained in this type of choreographed dance for many years are going to attempt. But consider the fact that many of these groups get some choreos from western choreographers that have worked with western artists, so there are choreos like that in western music. And then in concerts things work different, I think you can get more impressive big dancing troupe choreo in western concerts for bigger artists, because in kpop dancing is also the group's work so you get the choreo with the group and the backup dancers come to the stage in less songs. But I don't go to concerts so can't really tell, I only see some videos here and there.
A lot of kpop choreographers are Americanl/British! I think that kpop artists spend years training in dance before they even debut as artists. Probably more than most Western artists who probably concentrate on their musical skills instead of dance skills. Some of them, like Beyonce and JLo, grew up dancing, however and you can tell. But most probably just learn choreography for one video and that's it. And their background dancers are the best dancers and make them look good.
Yeah and pretty much every group(even solo artists, unless they're a rock band like Day6) will have full blown choreography with their music, that's what draws ppl in and it plays a huge role in the K-pop industry. It's one thing when you have an attractive person that can sing and rap, but when you add dance/choero into the mix, oh that's a wrap lol Ntm, their choreos can be very complex and theatrical. There's only like a few artists that can actually dance here in the states(Chris Brown, Usher, Beyonce, etc...), but even they don't be having full blown choreo like these K-pop artists do. When they do perform live, if there is choreo, it's usually never the full choreo. They'll probably dance to the chorus(most likely the highlight part), in between rapping/singing or they'll have a little dance break... Sometimes they don't dance at all, the background dancers would dance and they'll focus more on rapping/singing. I get what the guy in the suit was trying to say, but in terms of dance, choreo and performance overall... K-pop is on a whole different level lol I feel like he'll take back what he said the more he deep dives into the world of K-pop and check out more songs/groups(esp with groups like SVT who are esp known for their choreo/performances)😂
Oh I think kpop choreos would top western, like I get what Alfey? I think was saying (the gentleman on the left), and I don't think it's a bias per say, like almost all title tracks have choreos, and even concerts are 70-80% full fledge dance performances whilst singing so yea. Personal take haha. :3
Absolutely!!! I can't think of 1 western male musical artist or singing group that can come close to comparing to even the average K-pop groups dancing, let alone a top performance team like Seventeen. Yes, there are a few female artists that can probably do it, but even them, I think they focus more on the choreo for just one part of their song, and then kind of walk around and pose, etc. for the rest of the song, which is fine because that's what works for them, and its just a different style. But yeah, you don't see other westetn artists going hard dancing straight for 3-4 hours like you would see at a SVT concert!
This is true. I may not watch western music concerts that much, but the few I’ve seen, the male artists literally just walk around, do some small movements and call that choreo (sry no hate) while there may be more female artists who do do full-on choreo. It may sound like I’m dissing my own country’s music, but it just gives different vibes. And personally, I like both for different reasons. They satisfy several areas separately that I crave to see overall. But, kpop is literally dance pop even when there’s a few songs without choreo, while western pop wasn’t made to be choreo-driven per se imo at least. That’s more of an add on with live performances
Thank you for reacting to SVT❤ I hope you guys will hv more opportunity to experience what KPOP is. Trust me, KPOP is on another level for their performance and all these groups hv their own characteristics. Some are known for their singing, some for their dancing, storyline, fashion, attitude or songs. BUT as a kpop fan since 2012, I can confirm that Seventeen is a whole package group. They are known for their Self-producing, Singing and Choreography. They also produced diverse genre for their songs. SVT is the definition of hardwork and passion.

Watching a lot of your reactions today!!! I'm an army and I love several other k-pop groups. One of them that I think is an incredible talent is Ateez, you need to react!!! I suggest Guerrila, Crazy Form, Work, Bouncy, Halazia
Western pop music it nothing compared to Kpop choreo. It’s way up there. And even if went to a Beyoncé, Gaga, or Grande concert they do abit of movement but it is usually background dancers but Kpop the singers themselves perform that choreo every time their entire concerts is that choreo through.
westerners can dance but their music focus so much on sex, money and drugs that sometimes it is too much and annoying. seventeen music focuses more about self and experience. super was made in inspiration to dragon ball z. members are in low mood at that time and woozi wants to uplift the emotions and morale of the team by making them feel like goku the superhero.
True, kpop especially seventeen always hv good meaning for their songs. Seventeen always mention that they want to give positivity to their fans through their songs.
Whatever you say cuz popularity doesn't mean you're the best. I'm not saying bts not great, they also work hard and talented but you don't hv to downgrade other group to make your fave looks better.
@@EyaJlassi-jt5dvthat doesn't mean others are bad bro you explored only BTS and I also did they have huge discrography but I also explore two more groups so every group have discrography that are amazing so don't degrade other group who is also doing their best .

Dingo Killing Voice if you haven't done that already. It's a nice short compilation of some of their most famous hits. Love singing, no backing track.
You should also watch their Lollapalooza Berlin performance where they performed 19 songs in 90 minutes with live band.
