- Dusty Slay joins Jay in-studio and immediately gets into his start in comedy, growing up in a trailer park and how his life influences his stand up. Plus Dusty jokes that he has become his stand up character more and more in real life, which has caused him a bit of an identity crisis, and talks to Jay about how he got through bombing on stage and instructing the audience on when to laugh. Dusty also jokes with Jay about starting a family, and how trying to take his wife and 8 month old baby on the road to a recent gig and how it ended up being a nightmare. And Dusty talks about his struggles with drinking and what prompted him to finally stop and get sober, joking that he almost relapsed drinking wine at church. And Dusty's influence from comedians like Jeff Foxworthy and Ron White really speak to his southern roots.

Loved this interview! I live in the Mississippi Delta and watched Jay play @ Vandy & he's a really good interviewer...extremely personable. AND Dusty explained tripping perfectly! One bad trip & that fear pops up every time...loved his description!!

This is so strange following Dusty into an interview with Jay Cutler as a Bronco fan. Like, he got run out of Denver without a lot of sympathy, but we Bronco fans have never really seen Jay's human side. He ain't great, but he's real. Ok.

I’m not throwing hate, but yeah, this was my first time seeing his show, and it felt like Jay does what he does, but, rather uncomfortably. He seems like how I would be, actually, I’d be better, but he seems like how awkward I’d be if I conducted an interview. But, all being said, props to him for doing it, but, I just don’t vibe with it. To each his own. Dusty made this watchable. I’m sorry. It’s just an opinion. Sorry if it offends.
