I got my '74 FJ40 in San Diego. Really miss that thing. Along with the '69 SS/RS 396 Camaro. Those were the days my friends. My daily driver was a '67 Plymouth Valient
@@nickytorres662You are Damned Right, we don't want all the electronics and don't need frivilous stuff like Traction Control or automatic Ride height adjustments. Don't need high end stereo or built in cell phone BS. WE don't need Luxury Interior that will get destroyed first time off road. These are the things that Killed JEEP Wrangler. I want capable OFF ROAD Vehicle that if it breaks down out on the trail I will be able to repair it at least well enough to get it off the trail. It looks rough and tough on the outside but inside it looks like a damned BENTLEY.
Breaking news: Some random guy with an AI bot decides to bring back the iconic FJ40 Land Cruiser... except it’s completely fake. He posts a video of what looks like a modern FJ40 retro, and the internet loses its mind. People are lining up to buy what they think is a limited-edition, retro revival. Toyota? They're over here like, ‘Uh, we didn’t do that.’ Turns out, it’s just an AI-generated mockup, and now people are out here arguing over the authenticity of a car that doesn't even exist. The internet’s so convinced that the AI version is the real deal, they’re negotiating prices for it, while 'history buffs' start offering tips on how to spot an FJ40 from 1978. As for fact-checking? It’s been relegated to the history books-right alongside the original FJ40. And here’s the kicker: this whole thing goes viral, people stop questioning what they see because, well, when did we ever? Suddenly, we’re all just buying AI-generated products like it’s the latest trend. Trust? Gone. That one guy’s AI FJ40 is just the beginning-soon, we’ll be arguing over the authenticity of AI-generated 'historical artifacts' at yard sales, and the government will be handing out 'How to Spot Fake Reality' pamphlets at your local mall. Without trust in the things we buy, the news we read, or even the people we talk to, civilization starts rusting away faster than an FJ40 parked near the beach. We’re heading toward a world where the only thing you can trust is that nothing is trustworthy anymore. And that, my friends, is when civilization truly goes off-road… and not in a cool, rugged way. More like 'into a ditch while arguing about an AI-generated car’s kind of way.'
A neighbor of mine bought one of the last gen FJ's he stopped at my house on his way home, I asked him when he was going to go 4 wheeling with me. He said never, and it never left the paved roads. We had one guy in the 4wd club that bought one of the FJ's and it was useless off road couldn't clear obstacles without damaging body panels. This new version might look like the 66 FJ40 I grew up in, but the new ones are nowhere near as capable or reliable. Because they were designed by people that don't have a clue about what they should be able to do.
OMG, where do you start? The inside view of the pillars is completely different to the outside view, dunno where they got their interior shots from but it changed a couple of times. The rear door changes two or three times, Ai has a lot to answer for.🤣
A hybrid meens a big battery 😢 and electronic gadgets and gauges in dash meen it won't last 4 ever , buy and old one spend same money and modify suspension and evey thing else and yourl have the dream machine we all crave for 😊
Is this available in the North American market? Same drivetrain as the current Land Cruiser except 10 speed. It will take many sales from the current Landcruiser 250 ...doubt it will be here in the US.
I bought a Red FJ40 new back in 1973. It had a 3 speed standard transmission. I just wish that this new FJ 40 had a stripped model...like the old Land Cruiser. One with a standard trany and no computer upgrades. Keep the upgraded model for the folks that can't stomach a real 4x4. Sell the stripped model to the Die Hards like us.
I've owned 3 FJ's n if this were ever really made available 2 the US market, being Gov/EPA' n 2 the ground it would NEVER compare 2 original. Nice A.I. 😂😅
Full time 4wheel drive just wares out tires way too fast select 4 wheel drive is better the original straight 6 would be a great option that engine was almost indestructible . Just add fuel injection, side rails for another option and brush guard with a winch option.
SPOILER ALERT: This is not real. We have a 1996 FJ80 Lexus LX450 with over 500,000 miles that is still a daily driver. Triple lock differentials at the click of a switch and solid axles front and back are hard to beat. We would not trade it for a new FJ40 even if they were real.
Close, but no cigar!! My 1972 fj40 kicked butt!!
I got my '74 FJ40 in San Diego. Really miss that thing. Along with the '69 SS/RS 396 Camaro. Those were the days my friends. My daily driver was a '67 Plymouth Valient
You all have been lunched! But anyway, if Toyota would bring out a retro like this, I would buy it immediately!!!
You know it’s fake when they don’t even spell the badges right.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Right on!!
It will be launched only in youtube! KKK
😆😆😆
Yeah, all fake. Lol.
WOW you almost got me there such a fake video 😂😂
If that was real and available I’d buy one .. too bad Toyota can’t see the light on this subject ! The USA would buy these and 70’s models.
Looks the same as original with the sharp lines smoothed.
Now all they have to do is take out the electronics, put in a carb and you have a good car.
Also the automatic transmision, real man use three pedals
😂, you are correct. I don't care how old school they make them look, I hate all the electronic and computer chips they may have

Someone REALLY needs to make a car without the modern electronics. Use analog switches and dials instead for the dashboard.
@@wiliantoliong4047 Only those that don't do any serious rockcrawling. Reverse valve body and auto's dominate.
This is how people make content now. Fake AI
Wow, Toyota make FJ40 again❤
Toyota still winning ❤ 2025
Not the new ones.
I’ve been waiting for the REAL FJ 40 to reappear, had one in 70-72 and still miss it
Bought one brand new in 1977. $5500.00.
That is exactly what I want, but not for the Bronco price of $50K on up. Once I see it on the lot, I'll believe it.
I hope it becomes available in North America.
Hybrid? 14” touch screen? These companies just can’t seem to comprehend what “keep it simple stupid “ means.
Toyota let's go places 💓 amazing 💓 🔥 👏 ❤️ ❤️
Let's see if it actually happens . Would be awesome
Who is commenting this video? She’s brutal.
i want FJ43 because it got 13 leaf springs 12 passengers fit easily n 30 cm longer then FJ40
If only they did start making it again but its fake
cannot wait to see the costco lots full of these
And grocery stores. That is about all they will be good for.

Wow! Looks promising. I’m a bit skeptical of a turbo. I hope Toyota will also offer a V6
Saya sangat suka jika model ini bener bener akan di produksi mengingatkan saya masih kecil dulu
If this was real I'd buy it
It's made by ai, look at the details ...but it's Really GOOD 😊
Need one😊
Car dezlng USMONOV ❤❤❤
Добже, добже пановья 😂
إنها افضل من الصناعات الجديدة البلاستيكيه
This will be a must have!
At $55K, I think I’ll pass.
Legend new born then ❤❤❤
BRILLIANT DESIGN. I NEED ONE.
WOW! Finally LUNCHED, eh?😂😂
This is way better looking than the last FJ... Take my money

Se tardaron una eternidad es darle el seguimiento al toyota land cruiser fj 40
I’ll wait a year or two before I pull the trigger. I want to know how “reliable” this new engine will perform.🤔
This was d original look of d lland cruiser
Most viewers were optomistic that what they saw will come into light. So let's fake it 'til we make it eh.
Have a look at the a pillar on the interior shots. Not the same car as outside
It would be better and historically proud on manual transmision 👍👍
❤
I hope they really do it
This is a fake report and showing a 1970s FJ40 and not the 2025 version!
Ingat tahun 1980 ayah yang suka pakai jeep hartop itu 👍👍👍
Finally Lunched the headline says😅 who's going to eat that 🤔
Wow! Real classic look!
OMG, where do you start? The inside view of the pillars is completely different to the outside view, dunno where they got their interior shots from but it changed a couple of times. The rear door changes two or three times, Ai has a lot to answer for.🤣
Freakin awesome man ✅
I have only one question we it be sold in Australia 🇦🇺
Fake video but if Toyota manufactured this FJ I would trade my Jeep JK for it in a heartbeat. I hope Toyota is reading through these comments.
Ilove this Car
Why Oh Why then did LandRover feel the need to redesign the Defender?
That's a rebadged Suzuki Samurai.
A hybrid meens a big battery 😢 and electronic gadgets and gauges in dash meen it won't last 4 ever , buy and old one spend same money and modify suspension and evey thing else and yourl have the dream machine we all crave for 😊
I hope it is not a fake!
Spell check! Finally “Lunched”?! 😮
cool
Launched not lunched 😊
( hungry ).
You’re having it for lunch?
How about the suspension system? Does it still use leaf spring, or being changed to coil spring?
Fake video...
If it's a hybrid I don't know if it's off road capable, if this vehicle will be true. I own a 23 Rav4 Hybrid and I know it's power capability.
Why did they put a supercharger in this thing?
I don't see any official news about it!
Legend 😍
How do you lunch a vehicle. Do you start eating at the tires.
Is this available in the North American market? Same drivetrain as the current Land Cruiser except 10 speed. It will take many sales from the current Landcruiser 250 ...doubt it will be here in the US.
TOP👍Respect✌The Legend🤝✊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's better to remake land cruiser 80

No four doors version ?
55 grand? Shove it!
How is this not being built ?
Bait😮

Retro FJ Cruiser….
Starting at 55,000😂😂 I’ll pass
Just like the broncos that have of the same equipment, price is too high.
Don't believe it. Love my '79 FJ40.
Full time 4wheel drive just wares out tires way too fast select 4 wheel drive is better the original straight 6 would be a great option that engine was almost indestructible . Just add fuel injection, side rails for another option and brush guard with a winch option.
A great hallucination for rating 🤣🤣🤣
Will it be eaten? ( lunched)
Love it
Toyota Lunched it.. And then Dinnered it.
Oh..good..macho...kren❤
"Finally lunched"? Does that mean that softer parts were cut in small pieces and sauteed? Or, maybe someone tenderized parts before sauteing?
Pretty much a fantasy folks
SPOILER ALERT: This is not real. We have a 1996 FJ80 Lexus LX450 with over 500,000 miles that is still a daily driver. Triple lock differentials at the click of a switch and solid axles front and back are hard to beat. We would not trade it for a new FJ40 even if they were real.
Makan siang dimana?😂😂😂😂
Finally "lunched"? Ha Ha
The rear tire is on the wrong side and the back lights are not right
That’s what you get with AI images 🤷🏻♂️ everything is wrong when you start looking closely. Fake video
Is it in the USA ?
When will it be desserted? 😂😂
I heard on crash tests they wad up like paper
Jumm😊 100 % over others cars
The interior and exterior windows did not match in the video. Obviously fake to make someone salivate.
BELLISSIMA
This isn't the 25
That's a WOW!!!! It brings me back to the early 80's when my dad bought a yellow one.
