If you look closely you will see that Vader’s eyes are blue before he is killed. He was at peace in the illusion which meant that he lost the vast majority of his Dark Side powers. It’s a fitting way to defeat Vader in my opinion.

Wdym, all he had to do in the manga was weave hand signs and he absorbed the ten tails

Obito could always become the 10-tailed jinchuuriki instantly, the only thing stopping him was the cursed puppet seal Madara put on his heart. Obito himself tells Madara that he let Kakashi put his Raikiri through his heart to get rid of the seal because it stopped him from becoming the jinchuuriki, since that went against Madara's original plan in which he would have to be the jinchuuriki and not Obito. Madara easily became the jinchuuriki, just like Obito only needed the Bijuus in the Gedo Mazou and for him to transform into the 10-tailed and make the hand seal.
