I will never forget the first time I got to meet him and get his autograph, at the Gotcha Pro 1988 at Sandy Beach. I remember asking his wife to get his attention for me and he was so cool. It meant a lot to me just being 12 and finally meeting him. He was and still is one of my favorite waterman of all time.

Thanks to one of the best bodyboarders who chose to never go pro; and a great family friend (MIKE STRAWLEY-i know you'll read this some day) i had the opportunity to meet him(stewart), a very young/just turned pro kelly slater, Mark Foo, Freda Zamba, and Jay Reale (a few more i cant remember)- back in 90-91'- at B.B. Bombers [surf shop] in Ocean City, MD when i was just a youngin'. They all flew in to visit us on our last day of surf/bodyboard camp. Ill never forget it- made an everlasting impression on my young mind. Jay was the local hero who "made it big time"-winning contests; magazine exposure- sponsored by Reef and got to pose with those Reef babes in thongs- we all wanted to be like him. It was awesome when he'd come back to visit OCMD and hang out with all us lil spongers. Great memories. RIP Mark Foo- very humble, very nice guy. Strawley, Foo,Jay and another local Buckwheat would take us to the arcades and hang out with us all day...Great Great Memories
i love this guy. i have bodyboarder with him and spoke to him multiple times for business and casual events. hes a good guy with a passion on what he likes to do.
I have 2 posters that he signed back in 94-95. and he always illustrates the posters with a barrel with a phrase and autograph in it. framing those fuckers some day.
I've being pushed down that deep after massive closeout on me second wave, and I couldn't see the sun or any buoyancy, so I held my breath and past out. When I past out, it took me to hell first as all go there first and Lucifer decides, if U leave black vast area, on ya own for eternity, or go to heaven, light being place, when I was at hell, U are not in your body, U can see and move, I stood still and looked. Hell is like being at dark and can't find the light switch period for ever in dark on ya own. And heaven, is all light, and not in ya body, I looked around me but didn't move, and the feeling up there, of the frequencys, was like all your best waves ever caught all, at once as a constant. I had no pain from previous injurys, and felt immense beautiful light frequencys. Unknown from waves and the re frequency. And then I can back to my body two metres under closed beach massive swell, and I had no board or arm rope gone and flippers and flipper savers gone. And was on reef and had to body surf in on one foot ocean for 50m using my hands as I didn't want to step on anything. Now I when in off Frenchman's beach at caves beach area, Newcastle. And I jumped in at, 1pm and caught two waves and second wave pushed me down that deep. When I came to after seeing all, when I got on the sand three hours have past whole out of it from holding my breath. So now U know . I have a big heart and soul and would help anyone that will help them selves. This plant world is all about frequency both good and bad Lucifer was the snake in the forbidden fruit tree and prosper tree and so we did. He's both black and white, Ying Yang and bad and good. There's no religion. We all electrical light beings and only eat seeded and fruit and vegetables only. I'm into alot of science since then and surfing and body boarding I miss. I've been in some massive waves and soul searcher and use to go to extreme for the adrenaline rush always. The sea has brought me in and safe when everyone else just watched. As I was four footy fields out further then chronulla beach breakwall, as the current took me way way outpast all reefs. And so I used my teachings and paddle left and this massive wave came from know where, as it was five story high easy, and ride it over all reefs on a small thing surfboard, it was so chopped out from big winds off shore, but I handled it all the way in and then got off wave at end and used next wave to wash me up on to rocks as 50 or so people where just watching and did nothing as beach was closed. But anyhow I said to them all, didn't U see me hand up as I had to sit up on my board and let my arms relax as I couldn't paddle anymore. I said to them all fuck U all, U mother fucking cunts, didn't U see my hand up asking for help, I walk straight through them all. All my training came out that day and the first story of me going to hell first then Lucifer knows your soul and decides weather U stay hell or heaven then heaven keeps U there or back into body. I still don't know why I am hear, even today I don't know. Other then to try and save our world. Some how but I'm broke but very smart
