No need to declare Jalan Masjid India area as unsafe, disaster zone, says IGP

Speaking to reporters after witnessing the handover of duties at the Kelantan contingent police headquarters on Thursday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said there is currently no need to declare the area of Jalan Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur, where the sinkhole incident recently occurred, as an unsafe or disaster zone.

They must evaluate the whole place before saying it is safe or unsafe. There is another sink hole and there could be others in the future that could cause the same mishap as what happened. Do not compromise the safety of citizens and others lightly.
