    Another great video. You have been one of my GO-TO tractor resources since I found your channel. I myself am not a tractor guy. Our home and property has made it a necessity. Not complaining, just growing pains. We got our 4105 a few years ago in 2016. We bought it with the H165 front bucket and added a backhoe a month later. Always wondered why finding information on that series was so difficult. Now I know. The tractor is fine for what I use it for, slightly underpowered for some projects which creates a little more work or a few more trips. Someday I will probably trade up to a 4052R. Bigger is better right, wink wink.

    I chose the 4105 and am super happy. Plenty of power to operate a 6ft rotary tiller, 6ft rear mower, I *did* add cruise control and it works great. Simple, yes. But does the job.
    I was looking in the 30-some HP range when I first started shopping. A friend suggested I'd be MUCH happier with a 40-hp range.
    He was absolutely correct. The 41hp is all I need.
    TIGHT turning radius.
    Yes. Basic features, but for the price, I feel it's one of the nicest tractors around.
    I'd love the 3-pt assist on the fender, but i love the money saved even more than such features.
    I simply did not and do not need the 50-some hp range.
    But this video gives the 4105 a fair shake, IMO.

    Wow, the GOOD ol'l days. When 4-series tractors were available for resale. LOL! Remain calm... things will return to balance in the system. Just no idea what year it will be of course!

    Those tractors are looking nice and I have the John Deere 790 which I purchased in a package deal when I got it new, and a 3032E tractor and love them both, but it seem that the 790 seem to have more horsepower. I use it primarily with my bush hog attached to it, where the 3032E is used with my other implements for work around my home and when I have to do work at our church. Those three tractors seem to be very powerful and what I would want if I was doing work which required heavier equipment attached to it.

    Thanks for the overview, you really know your stuff! I can't remember how many thousands of times I would have given anything for that hookup assist on the rear fender, we had a sickle that I used to mow around the 2 lakes on the golf course, always took 2 to hook that animal up..... I see 2 sizes of buckets, how much difference in capacity? Thanks again for an awesome video!

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, about a 12" width difference. I think it's a 3rd yard compared to a half yard. That hookup assist is the cat's meow!

    Hello. I just recently Purchased my first Property 24 acre Ranch. I have a lake and 2 ponds. I got area I have cleaned off besides house sitting spot which is already clean. I have made trails through the property. I want to clean trees, be able to work driveway that about over 1200+ yards. I want to able to clean around that lake and pond good with down trees. Digg dirt to possibly replace driveway drains. This is what I am working with. Suggestions. The 4 R may be the route but wondering. Also want to clean off a spot that got old stomps and I want to bush Hogg to put goats or cows. Thanks again.

      Sounds like you've got some good size projects to tackle. A 4 Series will definitely handle all of those projects, could also get by with a 3r Series as well. Hope that helps!

    Is there enough of a difference in upgrades in the regular m series and the heavy duty? Can you do a side by side comparison of the differences?

    I am trying to decide between a 4052m and a 5055e. I have about 25 acres that i will be bush hogging and I would love to be able to use an 8ft pull type bush hog. I’m sure i will have some loader work as well, but nothing too bad. Any advice would be great!

      Brian82 I actually ended up going with a Kioti DK4510. It’s in between the 4052 and 5055 in size, and it has been perfect for me so far. I had decided on the 5055 if I went with the John Deere, but the Kioti was a lot more bang for the buck for me.
