I think you've stumbled upon a new revenue stream. You broke down his technique and provided simple solutions that anyone can understand. Looking forward to more from coach Mike!
Thanks for the feedback.
I've never wanted someone to critique my throw so badly!
Never seen public park with cornhole court. What town is that?
Indianapolis
Mike, a so simple, yet thorough breakdown is greatly appreciated. More please!!!
Thanks for the feedback.
This was excellent. One of the best "toss the bag well" videos out there.
Thanks
Best cornhole video on RUclips! Great job Mike !
Thanks!
This is great advice. I dont know why I never did the tape trick. I have an issue with same spot on the board doing this should help me just pin point that target.
I find the tape to be helpful. It gives you an exact spot to focus on.
Hey Mike, do you have any tips for a nose diving bag? It’s almost like the bad slips out of my hand a little. I’ve tried getting the fingers up at release but lose accuracy. Thanks in advance!
A nose down bag typically means that you are throwing up instead of out. If your arm is moving up when you release, then you will push up on the back of the bag, and the nose will drop. Instead, your arm should be moving out towards the board when you throw. The throw is a straight line and not an arc. When your arm is at the farthest point in your backswing, it should travel in a straight line to the release. You are probably curving that bag down, which leads to the hand and arm moving upwards at release.
@@MikesBags this is a great explanation. Never thought of it like that. Thanks for replying. Love your channel. Do you ever do video lessons?
For purchase *
@@MikesBags at the end of the bswing, my thumb is pointed left and the top of the bag is kinda pointed at the target. What do you mean by curved?
Now I'm going to take a video of myself throwing. I have an idea what my throw looks likely but actually seeing it will like result in improvement areas. Great video!
It's always interesting to see yourself throw. We all have an idea of how we throw but most of the time the actual throw is different that what we think. The video is a great tool to use from time to time.
Mike once again you have helped my game. If I’m looking to get a new bag or curious about one, your channel is my first stop. And it is VERY helpful. But now you are not only helping with bag selection but helping to improve my throwing game. I love the idea of the tape on the board! You have given me things to work on and I’m sure my game will improve because of it. I appreciate everything you are doing for the sport! Keep it up!
Thanks! I'm glad it helped.
Great video Coach Mike! Looking forward to the next videos! 👏
Thanks!
With the pace that corn hole is growing just here in America these kind of videos are very helpful, when I first got started I watched you and I watch Corbin’s videos and I watched Eddies videos And from the three of you I gathered a lot of very helpful information on what type of bag to use and also on technique, so I really feel you’re on the right track with this and I’m sure your audience will grow and benefit immensely from these training videos, thanks again Mike good job
I wonder what happened to Eddie. He doesn’t post anymore on his RUclips!
Seems like his focus is more on his own game bag business now.
Thanks for the feedback. I feel that there is a need for this type of content as well. I'll put a few more out and see how they are received and go from there.
Thanks Mike,
I really like your tutorials videos. I like how you explain the how and why to do. In very simple terms.
I try my best to keep things as simple as possible. Thanks for the feedback.
Definitely do more of these! Outstanding work Mike.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on some more. I'm hoping to have another one out soon.
Been waiting on something like this! This is awesome!!! Thanks Mike
Thanks for the feedback.
Love your content. I especially love the bag reviews because I for one cannot afford to buy every single bag I think might be a good choice.. Because of all your great in depth reviews I have been able to make better purchases. Finding out if a bag works in humidity or not is such useful information. I found out the hard way in the beginning before I found your channel. Appreciate all the time you put into this. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the support! I'm glad my channel has been helpful to you. That has been my goal since I started doing this.
Really enjoyed the video, and the overall concept. Keep up the great work Mike!
Thanks!
Great idea Mike!!! Love content in general but area specific content is awesome!!! We appreciate it alot!
Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you so much for this Mike. Your background in coaching is evident in this, love the fundamental explanations and comparisons. Outside of Anthony Ayon's content, there really isn't any GOOD detailed tutorials out there. Where you're different is the drill aspect and repetitious practice advise. Looking forward to more from you!
Part of this idea came from an Anthony Ayon video. I love his content. I wish he did more of it.
Loved it! I loved the clear shot analysis. Loved the side-by-side with the pro having similar (but more correct) details in his throw, I also loved learning some real-life practice exercises with you showing how it's done. Sooooooo... I loved it all! :)
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback.
Yes yes yes! More of these videos!
Thnks mike!
Will do. Thanks!
Mike your videos have helped me improve my game so much thanks bud! I also use this channel to reference what bags I wanted. I just started playing this year of 2023 about a month ago and fell in love with the game. I currently have the Buffalo fury’s, Reynolds typhoons, lucky 🍀 sure fires, and BG sorcerers.
love your video. excellent breakdown and easy to understand.
Thanks!
Love these kinds of videos Mike, great job!
Thanks!
Nice job Mike. There is always something we can learn from videos like this. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
Great channel Mike, thanks
Great tips and coaching. In going to implement what you suggested and am looking forward to some improvement. A little here, little there and I know I can get more consistent and win more regularly.
Awesome! Hopefully it helps.
Love your channel Mike! Look forward to more instructional/improvement content!
Thanks!
Great video! Solid advice.
Thanks!
Love the video Mike. Aim small miss small!
I love the aim small, miss small. I overhead that on a golf course years ago. It has just stuck with me.
Keep them coming!! Break downs and practice routines.
Will do. Thanks for the feedback!
Thumbs up! Comment, I like this type of video. Please keep making more.
Can you go threw the top pros and give a brief breakdown on their throwing and what bags they use
That's an interesting idea. The pros throw the bags they are paid to throw and not necessarily the bags they like best or the bags that fit their throw style best.
@@MikesBags noah wooten is a good candidate for this. I'd like to see a throw video on him and eric davis. Then one on modlin and matt guy.
Just my thoughts but I always love your videos
Great video. What I would say is that the average player don't have the "Ideal" location to throw bags. The average back yard player has to deal with elements. I personally have started to actually level my board when I set up. I will definitely set up my camera to record my throws and follow this advice.
This is great!
Thanks for the feedback.
Love this!
Great tips,
as usual great input, better camera too no? looks good!!
I used my phone to record this instead of my GoPro. I also didn't zoom in as much so the resolution is better.
Thanks man, good training tips!
Are you in KC? That looks like the old Wilcox building 🤔
No, this is just outside of Indianapolis.
Can you do more of these?
I have plans to do more. These take more time than I expected to edit, so I've had to delay getting them out.
@@MikesBags I don't know about others but I'd be willing to pay for something like this to compensate you for your time Mike! Thanks again for all you do!
Thank u
Ok, so when I watch you throw, there isn't a ton of height on the pitch and your bags land really soft. Maybe its my bags (Game Changers) but I feel like if I try to be as relaxed as you look, I only hit the front of the board but don't get on it. When I try to correct, my pitch is much higher than yours but most times it slides right off the end of the board. I can't for the life of me get the bags to slow down. My board is very slick and I have noticed that the Game Changer bags are like a 10/9. At least that is what it feels like. As for grip i have tried the butterfly and it feels too weird for me. I like a good amount of beads in my hand. I would love to see more on pitch mechanics and how to be more consistent. I practice like a few days a week for a few hours each time. For some reason I can't get the accuracy consistent.
nice video to help others with their improvement. awesome tip on putting it on the board. whats your take on the training boards? i thought of getting a set of cornhole solution boards for fathers day but not sure if its worth it.
I have a set of training boards but I don't use them much. They get the most use during the winter time. I can set one up inside the house and practice when the weather is bad. I believe that if you use them regularly, they will be helpful.
ty good adv will halp a lot of pips an me an yes more will be good ty
Thanks for the feedback.
Man I need to send you my video
Do you ever wax the boards before you start playing ????
No, I don't put anything on the boards.
why do you have your opposite leg forward ?
That's what feels best to me.
How do I show you my video of me throwing
Just need someone to be my eyes and if I can pitch at well you be the judge of how I do I guess....😮
I would like you to break down my throw!!!
🐐🐐🐐
Hey can I send you a vid???😊
I challenge you to a horseshoe game. N I'll throw bags with you!!
I am leagually blind n love to pitch
The last time I threw horseshoes, I was still in school. That's been a while.
You nee to critique a lefty’s throw…I’m referring to mine😅
👍👍👍👍🍺😎
can i pay you to critique my throw? lol
