- This past weekend, we walked around North Myrtle Beach and caught the start of the Society of Stranders Spring Safari. Walk with us on the street as we hit Fat Harolds, OD Pavilion, HOTO’s, and Main Street Bakery.
Hope you can get here soon. Spring SOS (Society of Stranders) Shag Safari. Shaggers from all over will be in North Myrtle Beach April 13-23, 2023, for this 10-day event. To celebrate the birthplace of the classic dance - The Shag.

Well this is the old Ocean Drive beach right? As it was called in the 70s right when we went as a family? It's changed quite alot lol. As for shagging at 6ft 3 I can't shag worth a sh__. That's a fact. But looks fun to those who can. And sos to my family who are military brats of vets is something on a shingle! Right lol. Great video and fun. Thanks for posting

SOS doesn’t stand for Shaggers on the Sand. It stands for Society of Stranders. Also Fat Harold’s and the Pavillion are super historical shag locations. If you don’t know the history you should research it, maybe you would appreciate it a little more.

so cool to see the heart of NMB still going strong, cool that the locals are so into the shag, so many things have went by the way side. its fun to see that. we like to stop by when in town on Thursdays the music on the main in the summers. great video NMB is so peaceful, and one of a kind.
