I love these shows and I love this era of Paul McCartney and I'm one of the very few Paul McCartney fans who really enjoys press to play for pipes of peace it's definitely a fun album and a fun show to

Nice job, men. I like how you flipped the script, ‘legs; this time you were on the side of “ehh… it’s okay, but nothing special.” That different aspect of this episode made it pop even more.
Personally, l haven’t heard this album in quite a number of years. I know it was played occasionally in the record shops l worked at, but it wasn’t in regular rotation like: Ram, Band on the Run, Wild Life or Back to the Egg. Those are probably the ones l heard the most throughout the years. (And l know those are mostly Wings albums.)
My first record store gig coincided with the release of Press to Play. Therefore, l heard every new Macca album from that one through New. (I left “the biz” right before Egypt Station came out.) During that period, my favorite run is perhaps Flowers in the Dirt, Off the Ground and Flaming Pie. Just Paul being Paul.
When it comes to Pipes of Peace, I really only remember the first two singles. It’s an album I’ll definitely have to check out again. So much music to listen to and so little time… Egads!
    Cheers from The Big Apple.
Rock Out, Prog On and Pogo!

Dust bin lid is Liverpool slang for kid. He's saying he acted like a kid.

It’s still a horrible line imho.

@@Ft.Gagiano Perhaps, but it would have had a different meaning.

I enjoy the use of slang and terms not familiar. Being from California, I liked having to find out what those Beatle lyrics were saying. Enjoyed looking up Liverpool slang for dustbin lid.

I haven't researched this, but I've always had the impression that this album consisted to a considerable degree of leftovers from the Tug of War sessions. EDIT: I wrote that before I watched your video! :)

Two things bout Pipes of peace.
    1) whoever set up and mixed the drum parts.
    Needs a lesson.
On how to set up a drum kit.
    Particulary say,say,say.
Like roger taylors drumming on Jazz.
    2. The man always get skip since my teenage years.
P.s. through our love stands next to any of his top tier balleds.
    Or songs alone.
But it is McCartney's effort for a pop album.
    I rate it.
    7/10.
