IT’S THE SIMPLE THINGS - Bryanna Persaud Choreography

Here it is.
I sat for a long time with this one. It’s a moment I have been waiting so patiently for as timing meant a lot to me when it came to the release of this piece. I needed to be in a mental space knowing this would be the last and final time we got to share this with the world - and equally in hopes that these videos would make its presence eternal.
This was not just a routine for me… it was such an awakening. I really and truly felt that I was able to discover elements of the best version of myself through this process. Each week during this session I was actively rediscovering different depths of my faith through the connectivity of the choreography, music and our story. But TOGETHER… we tested our courage. We practiced the range of our mental capabilities. We pushed the limits of our trust. We practiced not always being fully in control. We practiced understanding ourselves and each other. We practiced holding ourselves accountable. We practiced starting over, even when it hurt and we were frustrated. We practiced what it meant to devote yourself to something fully and unconditionally.
And for me.. I practiced choosing my passion each and every time, even when I wanted to give up and cave in on myself. I actively pushed myself to be practicing these things in the hopes that the authenticity of everything I was doing would translate to my students, through the piece, and to the world. And the impact it ended up having all around was more than I could have ever hoped for or imagined.
My beautiful dancers… you did it. We did it. Together, as a unit, as a family. YOU moved people. YOU executed the vision. YOU made it real. You made a difference. You are the magic, and I will forever be in awe of you and grateful for all you created it to be. Your soul was in it, and that in itself was everything.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, wherever this life may take you… always do it with 100% of everything you’ve got. Life is too short to only live it half way, and unfortunately we never get the same moment twice. Make meaningful choices and soak up all those in between memories…. because it will always be the simple things that mean the most and that make up the big picture.🤍
