It's funny, each of the themes I associate with a different type of culprit. Generally the first theme for each game is slow, and you will likely hear it most in your first trial, due to the culprit's lower Influence Gauge, and other variables, such as getting used to the controls. I associate this theme with sadness, or regret, as that is what all three first culprits across the series exhibit upon being found out, their plans failed, and they didn't really want to kill anyone. The second theme makes me think of defensiveness, whether in the first two games it's about people who Aren't the culprit, trying to show the protagonist why he's wrong, or the culprit in the third game, who wishes to protect a greater sum of people. It just screams "Refusal in the face of the truth" to me. The final theme seems reserved for villainous characters. Whether it's the mastermind, or the culprit behind each third case. In the first game, the culprit behind the third case manipulated two naïve individuals and influenced one into killing the other. After this, they of course slew the one who had been manipulated. In the second game, the third case's culprit was suffering from an affliction, one that made them well, to avoid spoilers "Super evil." I don't even think I need to go into details about the third game's third-case culprit. Regardless, it seems that this theme is reminiscent of "being on the brink of defeating a difficult boss," further exemplified by the third case's culprit's often nefarious behaviours and motives. Dunno why I typed this, just thought maybe someone would be interested to hear my thoughts.

Am I the only one who thought gameplay-wise V3’s rhythm game was a HUGE improvement over the originals? DR1's osts for these will probably always be my favorite mostly because I could actually play them decently. In DR2 the rhythm always felt slightly off? No matter how on beat I thought I was it usually didn't work so I ended up just spamming fever time... V3 was a nice upgrade to the minigame, but the music wasn't nearly as good as 1 and 2.
In second part there is a slight difference in gameplay - you need not to just spam one-click shots, you need to hold attack button to take aim and release that button to shoot all the aimed phrases at ones. Since everybody just making one-click shot, game tries to take aim and shoot simultaneosly but, of course, that is almost impossible with that time frame, 'cause you aiming in rhythm, but release the button a bit later, hence missing.
Iiif I had to guess... I think V3 has such relatively weak tracks for these is because the music is less of a focus. They wrote full speeches for your opponents in that game, plus gave these huge bombastic sounds whenever you shatter their statements, in a sense I guess they were trying to let the button presses build the track, though that kinda goes out the window in the last one cause it's just complete chaos... but maybe that's the point, who knows.
That is the point. The armaments are efforts by Shuichi to face and destroy the opponent’s resistance to the truth. That’s why the opponent has a lot to say against him then. And the last one is really a push against the words of the Danganronpa audience, which is why the chaos is so obvious-Shuichi is arguing with who knows how many people all speaking at once.
What if, instead of arguing a ton to the culprit, you try and calm them down, like the V3 beta songs sound like? They’re clearly going backwards which would be a super cool dynamic

I like how the first game has the same general melody and tone but just speeds up and remixes it for the other stages. The second game honestly has better music for time keeping but the sudden change in themes is a bit odd and only like the second P.T.A. is catchy. Now the third game...I wish the "Kaede" T.A. were used in at least a minigame cuz they sound so cool! The main T.A. theme is probably the best in the series because it has a dissociative tone to it that fits Shuichi's situation better but they could've at least remixed it for HYPER NEW T.A. instead of just speeding it up. Super Final M.T.B. is the best of all tho.

Yeah, I don't know the exact details of things, but the twists were a bit lame. I want to learn about the characters too, and the bonus minigames sound fun
2 is a marked improvement over 1 in my opinion. Still, as noted above, the Hangman's Gambit minigame became kind of ass. I also had more trouble with M.T.B./P.T.A. segments, but that might just be me. Still, you should play 2. It's fantastic. Without spoiling anything, the new minigames more than make up for the drop in quality of Hangman's Gambit.
I don't get why people hated M.T.B and PTA, I loved them. Maybe because I like rhythm games? but I didn't enjoy Argument Armament, they are too boring to me. Maybe because I haven't gotten far into V3

I like goodbye despairs pta theme and danganronpa v3s NewTA. They're so awesome.
I like how the first game has the same general melody and tone but just speeds up and remixes it for the other stages.
The second game honestly has better music for time keeping but the sudden change in themes is a bit odd and only like the second P.T.A. is catchy.
Now the third game...I wish the "Kaede" T.A. were used in at least a minigame cuz they sound so cool! The main T.A. theme is probably the best in the series because it has a dissociative tone to it that fits Shuichi's situation better but they could've at least remixed it for HYPER NEW T.A. instead of just speeding it up.
Super Final M.T.B. is the best of all tho.

After DR1 I didn't really like Final minigame for the trials. Maybe its just me but in V3 the Final trial thing is so hard

Yeah, I don't know the exact details of things, but the twists were a bit lame. I want to learn about the characters too, and the bonus minigames sound fun
2 is a marked improvement over 1 in my opinion. Still, as noted above, the Hangman's Gambit minigame became kind of ass. I also had more trouble with M.T.B./P.T.A. segments, but that might just be me. Still, you should play 2. It's fantastic. Without spoiling anything, the new minigames more than make up for the drop in quality of Hangman's Gambit.
Danganronpa 2 definitely better.

I don't get why people hated M.T.B and PTA, I loved them. Maybe because I like rhythm games? but I didn't enjoy Argument Armament, they are too boring to me. Maybe because I haven't gotten far into V3
