Nice bundle purchases and good work getting that sale done! High prices and cards taking up showcase space that aren’t for sale seems like a bold strategy!
I don’t understand the high pricing by almost every dealer. It can ruin your day. Obviously most don’t want to sell then why set up. These dealers are irritating
Traveling museums. Seen this back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Guys set up and they won’t move a single dollar off their sticker. Same inventory show after show. Frustrating
The reply below mine is correct: traveling museums. Some dealers only do this show or a select handful of shows throughout the year. It's not a source of income for them, rather a vacation for a week to hang out with their friends.
I would say things were generally better this year compared to the last few NSCC shows I've attended. There will always be some experiences that are negative, though.
I think it can be if you go in with no focus as to what cards you're looking for. I'm open to anything when I'm walking a show, but have some idea of what to avoid that makes this behemoth of a show easier to navigate.
Sounds like the dealers are ruining alot of people's natty experience. I just watched a video where a dealer had a raw AR posted higher than a psa 10 and wouldn't come down.😂😂
They overprice 1: knowing the Wi-Fi sucks, that they’d catch a buyer willing to pay sticker.. and 2: buyer negotiating down feeling like they’re getting a deal, and the dealer makes a profit still. 3: dealers or anyone on eBay can ask anything they want, it’s weather they get it or not.
I have never understood that. While I can emphasize with wanting to show off a card to a large audience, showcase space is very valuable at this show. If that was me, I'm using every spot I have open to put out a card to sell.
Yeah it's not a good tactic on their part, especially if they put your card back out later at a jacked up price. That happened to me last November, guy comes up saying how he has to put the card out at 90% because nobody would buy it any higher. I walk over to his table maybe six hours later and guess what? My card is in there with my exact sticker price on it.
Class act JT! Appreciate you helping me out with my Nolan chases at the National 🎉
Absolutely, glad I could get those for you!

Yeah I didn't understand that last interaction at all
That last interaction was wild
Great recap videos so far. I thought you would be set up as a vendor, since you set up last year. Great insights as always.
Trying to catch up on some videos, glad to see you had a good National

The egos on these guys is wild.
Are you referring to the dealers?
Great content JT!
these dealers seem like the fun police and are over pricing their cards for no reason.

Great, thanks a lot. Now the secret is out. 🤦♂
BREAKING: Popular parallel from long-running Topps product is popular with collectors! Story at 11
Man JT, don't let that last goofball know there is a secret group of Von Hayes collectors out there........he might corner the market.
As long as you don't tell him about our Matt Vierling card cook group, the Von Hayes secret is safe with me.
Is it overwhelming with so many dealers and so much choice? That's how I felt when I went to the Dallas Show the 1st time.

yup 502frank. I just don’t get it. why dealers are overpricing items
@@rjzeph6199its so the dealer knowing the buyer is going to negotiate down, can still profit and the buyer feels like he got a deal.

@@crazykev6491 slimy tactics... no wifi or cell coverage. Ya, let's jack up prices because buyers can't look up comps.
@@BeamTeam2024 oh I totally agree.
WHAT THE WORLD!!! He has cards in the case that are NOT EVEN FOR SALE!!! Why are they in the showcase then??? Craziness

What up TC24
I hate dealers who think everything in their showcases is gold and everything in your shoeboxes is dog poop.
