I like the way you do the review. It feels like a friend having a good time sitting together in a room chatting about music and speakers. I like the Woburn I.
Hello there, a comment from Italy. I like your videos. Sorry in advance for my english. I had an Acton II in an open space room of 50 square metres and I found that it didn't sound as bad as you say. But it was underpowered for the room. So I purchased a Stanmore II. I found that the Stanmore is very, very choosy with regard to the placement, to the point where at first it sounded far worse than the Acton II. I think that, despite being bass reflex, it was tuned to be placed NOT MORE THAN 1 FOOT OR 30 CM from the back wall, OTHERWISE IT BECOMES VERY, VERY MUDDY. In comparison, the Acton II needed al least 80 cm from the back wall to breathe properly. Also THE WALL AGAINST WHICH YOU PLACE THE STANMORE IS VERY IMPORTANT. In my living room, it works only against the wall opposite the bookshelfs, only1 foot from the back wall and at least 80 cm high. Once I found the right spot, it sounded fantastic. The bass frequencies are way more compact and the midrange way more clear. In your video, it sounds a bit muddy because it is too far from the back wall.
Same! I have the Stanmore II Voice, I compared it to my Tufton, I like the sound of the Tufton more, it’s clearer and the configuration of the sound is just about right with the control knob. The volume on my Stanmore II is inaudible at 10-60%, very annoying and it’s hard to control the loudness. It’s like Marshall packed all the Volume levels from 70%-100%.
Woburn 2 for me seems to be the speaker with the best audio. I never really knew about this brand and really love the design. I was looking into Apple HomePod 2 but damn.. now confused. Based on your thoughts, which one would you recommend for home parties and connect to a DJ controller? Separately, which is great for home set up to Apple TV box?
The loudness of my Woburn is awesome but the sound clarity just isn’t there even with the Marshall App. I prefer using my tufton over this anyday. Thanks for the comparisons!!
Well it has a woofer, full range driver and a tweeter. The sound to me just sounds crisp and clear with nice deep bass. I get tons of compliments from random people from the loudness and clarity when I bring it to the park or beach. The only thing with the tufton is that you need to turn the volume knob to at least 50% of the way then control the volume with your phone. Any thing less you won’t hear much at all for some reason. Id recommend going 75% of the way on the volume knob and 25% volume on my phone and it sounds goooood!! Go 50% volume up on your phone and this speaker is BUMPING. You will get 10+ hours with 75% volume up on the unit 50% volume up on your phone with the bass turned all the way up and treble at 75% of the way.
For large room 4,5m height, 60m2 ( about 600sq ft), lot's of echos - which would you recommend? Stanmore II is max what I want to spent on BT speaker... You said you prefer Acton but wound't it be too small?
Hey. Really liked your review! Great content, definitely. Just a little question: Which one is better? Acton II or Stanmore I? I have the possibility to choose between them, but I'm not sure how to choose, tbh. Hope you can help me.
I can get a Woburn but it be too bug for a decorative shelf in my kitchen. So that would only be the reason I’d get the Stanmore 2. Size. Woburn can go in a bedroom or a garage😊
Hi Danny, absolutly great review on the Marshall's! I've been watching reviews for days now! what Marshall do you recomend? I like all genre of music, but also heavy metal rock music on many occasions. Thanks for your info Danny
I havent heard the beolit20 yet and have heard it's battery power is lacking. I'd probably recommend the stanmore III because of how good the Woburn III has sounded.
We have this- its epic BUT the whole Alexa thing is f#$%ing up the whole experience. The crap thing is... it cost more to get one of these WITHOUT Alexa. We cant find the microphone to stab it and kill that b$&@ for good. She freaking goes off all the time.... driving us crazy. There should be a way to deactivate the microphone but there isn't. Get an older model without Alexa or chuck up the extra cash to avoid it if you are like us and dont need/want that freaking thing in your business 24/7. If anyone has figured out how to disable it with doing damage or where to find it to do damage to it, please let me know! Update: after emailing the company, we did find out that there is a switch to turn off the microphone and that disables ALEXA
Hey, Danny! Thanks for the video! Would you recommend the Stanmore 2 over the Acton 3? Theyr'e about the same price level right now and I'm between these two options for a "shelf" room speaker.
My Acton 1 Bluetooth stopped working and doesn't seem as loud with aux cord .I use it in my garage all year could it have frozen? Anyone else have ths problem, I have loved it until now
After watching your reviews I just got my hands on a Gen 1 Acton(it does sound amazing) but kinda want a tiny bit more power for the living room . Should I find a gen 1 or 2 Stanmore or is it not worth the hassle?
It’d be great if you could somehow overlay the names onto the speakers because maybe because I’m old I quickly forget which is which other than that it was engaging thanks!
Although there isn’t a breakdown of the Stanmore 1, this repair video offers a view inside and it looks very much in line with the Woburn 1: metal back plate, wad of cotton placed inside etc ruclips.net/video/f2wPW_evCcs/видео.html
How is there not even a handle to carry it with? 🤣🤣🤣 This is a Red flag. They look good, my guess is that they are overpriced and only focused on the name and appearance.
Guy first off you’re alll over the place with this video, second NONE of the speakers were compared at the same volume percentage what a waste of time. What were you thinking??????? And where is the Kilburn and the Uxbridge in this test?
I like the way you do the review. It feels like a friend having a good time sitting together in a room chatting about music and speakers. I like the Woburn I.

many reviews say that tufton has no mids. is it actually true?
Gen 1 Woburn sounds the best to me, followed by the Tufton.

Which Fender amp is that in the backgound?
finally a good review on the Marshall speakers!
Can you suggest which marshall speaker I should buy under €200 ??
Woburn gen1 is the best !
The loudness of my Woburn is awesome but the sound clarity just isn’t there even with the Marshall App. I prefer using my tufton over this anyday. Thanks for the comparisons!!

Thanks for opening it up. 💪🏾💪🏾
I really love your review. It's such a nice content and I can learn English at the same time. thanks a lot

Only issue with woburn is it’s not portable can’t play it unless it’s plugged
Just snagged a Woburn 1 for $175 like new. Did I get a good deal?
Yes that was an incredible deal! They are hidden gems.
Stanmore II / Woburn II to buy?
Acton2 or Stanmore2? In terms of sound quality. Worth the extra money?
Mmm I think you'll be much happier with the stanmore 2 over the acton 2. If you can find a gen 1 i highly recommend them.
Any latency when using rca connectors?
Danny were all of your settings the same on all speakers? the Woburn 1 sounds more clear, than the Woburn 2. Same settings or no?
The original woburn just sounds cleaner overall. Same bass/treble settings i believe.
Can’t find a used Woburn I or Acton I. Can you point me to where I could find them?
What's a good speaker overall balanced with vocals instruments and base to listen to moderate vol, in a small room?
Which marshall speaker would you suggest to buy under €200??
Stanmore 3 vs Tufton??
Pls reply. Need to buy in next few daysi am confused

If you had to choose between Beolit20 and Stanmore 2/3, Which would it be? And why?
Eagerly waiting for a response.
I havent heard the beolit20 yet and have heard it's battery power is lacking. I'd probably recommend the stanmore III because of how good the Woburn III has sounded.

It’s on the top panel, right side just like the button of the mic with Google Voice. (Stanmore II)
Hi, any chances to get a a Stanmore III review or comparaison soon? Love your videos!
Hey, Danny! Thanks for the video! Would you recommend the Stanmore 2 over the Acton 3? Theyr'e about the same price level right now and I'm between these two options for a "shelf" room speaker.
Get the acton 3 for sound quality
@@DannyPops thanks! keep up the good reviews
!
So i found acton 3 for $266, stanmore 2 for $283, tufton for $285 and stanmore 3 $345 which one is the best and i should go for?
My Acton 1 Bluetooth stopped working and doesn't seem as loud with aux cord .I use it in my garage all year could it have frozen? Anyone else have ths problem, I have loved it until now

I think the Acton I gets plenty loud. Sure the stanmore pumps more air, but the sound is about the same. Stick with Gen 1 for sound quality.
I love your videos. So helpful!
Good video with sound test but they need to be compared at similar volume.
should i get the stanmore 2 or acton 3, they are both same price in my country.
Which one did you buy?
?
Hello 👋🏼 Woburn 2 better sound quality than Stanmore 2??
Saludos 🇨🇴
It’d be great if you could somehow overlay the names onto the speakers because maybe because I’m old I quickly forget which is which other than that it was engaging thanks!
Woburn 2 is my favorite !!
Any chance you will be reviewing the new Stanmore 3?
The stanmore 2 sounds good enoughto me but autoconnects all the time which is really dumb.
Although there isn’t a breakdown of the Stanmore 1, this repair video offers a view inside and it looks very much in line with the Woburn 1: metal back plate, wad of cotton placed inside etc ruclips.net/video/f2wPW_evCcs/видео.html
Damn I love that Woburn. I have to have one but.... Ugh.... 550$....
Found it for 199 at Best Buy
Woburn gen1 for me
The gen 2 is better
The gen 2 is better
How is there not even a handle to carry it with? 🤣🤣🤣 This is a Red flag. They look good, my guess is that they are overpriced and only focused on the name and appearance.
Tufton is the winner.
Yeah usually I'm not that impressed by the tufton but it did great here. Now to wait for a sale.
@@DannyPops I sold mine for the Woburn 3 lol
many reviews say that tufton has no mids. is it actually true?
Hi Danny...iamfrom India
Hello!
tufton 1.000 U$S in Uruguay :) great
Or get two bose link flexes and pair them up🎃
Marshall
It's a shame to put vinyl on such a crap record player
Guy first off you’re alll over the place with this video, second NONE of the speakers were compared at the same volume percentage what a waste of time. What were you thinking???????
And where is the Kilburn and the Uxbridge in this test?
Yeah, very strange.
