    Dragon fruit doesn’t have much flavor despite the.vibrant color so I’m not surprised it didn’t have a ✨transformative✨ flavor for you. It was probably almost the same taste as just blending cottage cheese lol… i would suggest try adding some more complex flavor profiles such as bananas, berries, your favorite protein powder flavor, peanut butter, nuts, dates, etc

    They have salt free cottage cheese. Use a stronger tasting fruit. Banana, peach. Even strawberries. You can add some fruit pieces at the end. Maybe surgery chocolate chips. Keep trying. I have faith in you.

    Might be the type of cottage cheese you used? I used the no name kind lol with mixed frozen berries and hazelnut sugar free syrup (it was all I had that was sugar free but it didn't taste as gross as I thought it would together). Just tasted like berry cheesecake tbh but by the final bites, I was sort of over it. I think I'll just eat cottage cheese as is if I want the protein tbh 😅 but diluting it with milk is a good idea! My cottage cheese is 0% fat so I think that's probably why it turned so icy, but maybe even adding just a splash of heavy cream could help? Idk man.

    You should have added some type of sugar. You can use the whole bottle of honey and it's not sweet enough. Maybe a sweeter fruit. Ice cream is sweet.

      You have to use good flavorings and plenty of sweetener or else of course it's going to taste bad. Dragonflies has no flavor and honey isn't a good ice cream flavor or sweetener. Do you ever see those flavors in the store? No. Vanilla, chocolate, or peanut butter would have been solid choices, not this nonsense.

      I agree that something is off....but still I don't see anybody talking about it.
      For me it was that mine always came out entirely too icy like it never scooped like a creamy soft serve like theirs does, even if I let it sit out of the freezer for a little while it was just too watery/icey! I don't know if it's because of putting too much fruit but I def didn't use a lot. Idk man. But it bugs me when I see everybody jump cut to a super soft serve kind of texture when in reality when you pull it out of the freezer it's straight up like Frozen ice and has a Icey slushy texture even once it starts to melt it just melted into chunks of slush for me lol. These people might be adding milk or adding something to make it softer I don't know what but mine has never been that soft-serve consistency but it has been sweet and not salty tho! 😆

    You’re supposed to add bananas because it makes it sweet and creamy. You added dragon fruit which already barley has flavor. Then you added the smallest bit of honey. On top of all that you used more than half of the container of cottage cheese. What did you expect?

  • @Echostrikes
    @Echostrikes Год назад +1

    For mine, at first I just used fresh berries and 1 tbsp of honey. Tasted salty so I added 3 extra tbsp of honey and some vanilla extract WITH graham crackers. At that point it actually tasted worth wild, I feel like using just dragon fruit (which is almost flavorless) and not much honey with nothing else is obviously gonna leave you with a salty texture
    (And if you dont wanna risk the saltiness, no salt versions exist) 😅

    Could it be maybe that you used your ice cream maker? I noticed other content creators just take the blended mixture and put it straight in the fridge. Maybe churning it in the ice cream maker makes it not so lovely in texture? Just a thought.

    Try this.. chocolate whey protein powder (one that you like), one spoonful of black cocoa, and a little hot sauce .. freeze 12 hours.. smoothie setting plus one re-spin and it can be excellent provided that you like the flavor of the protein powder you’ve using. Not all protein powders are created equal.

    Here. some cottage cheese, honey, tbsp heavy cream, actual fruit that has taste~ like raspberries peaches or MaYbeee mango (not dragon fruit😅it barely has any taste) ice and milk. Should indeed taste like ice cream even with just regular fruit and honey for sweetness because cottage cheese is basically milk.
    Also American cottage cheese sucks taste wise. Try going to your local Russian store to get some real cottage cheese. 😭

    Chocolate peanut butter is a popular flavor choice, maybe partly because the presence of peanut butter makes saltiness natural.
