This video is here to tell the story of Noise Complaint, my beloved first car. I bought it at age 13 with my own money, and have built it into what it is ever since.
I hope you enjoyed, help me keep hot rodding alive by subscribing!
Love you guys!

This is the most American story ever and I love it! Proud of you man keep at it.
Dude pushrod engines rev low.

@@jahamesmk2403 Americans like pushrods.

@@fish_R_stinky69 what does that have to do with anything
Cool story. I love the part that you and your pops built it 👍

I’m 24 now. Got into cars like this when I was about 19-21. Wish I could’ve gotten into it when I was a teenager like you did. Killer car man. 🤟🏻
I got into cars at 25. Im pushing 28 and the shit i've done in only 3 years has been the most fun and fulling i've ever experienced.
You're never too old to learn something new and have fun!
Sounds like me but only professionally. Ive watched and helped my uncle build 350s when I when I was a kid, I’ve done countless brake jobs, axle replacements, w bunch of other odds and ends for side money, but I just started wrenching on semis when I was 20. Just turned 23 last week, coming up in my 3rd year in march, when I first started, my buddy’s had to remind me a bunch of tips and tricks that I’ve forgotten lol. I still forget shit, and then I walk away, come back and figure it out. It’s nice being able to have the tools necessary to repair whatever you need repaired on your own vehicle. Parts already cost an arm and a leg and you see labor rates and customers bills all day lol
I absolutely love this channel. Thank you Tom. Keep up the great work. 👍
Dude the glimpse into your youth was badass and hilarious....I truly hope you sell that S10 to WhistlinDiesel and get big like you deserve to
Hey man, I doubt you’ll see this, and if you do I don’t know if you’ll care but I’ll say it anyway. You inspired me to buy my first car when I was 13 (which I didn’t do until I was 15 1/2 this year lmao) but I snagged a deal like you did with noise complaint. I bought an 87 camaro with a janky v6 and a janky auto transmission for $1250. Like I’ve said, you inspired me and still do, so I’ve wanted to build a street rod outta this ‘maro cuz im stupid. I’ve even gone ahead and dubbed it “fast n’ loose” because when she’s done, she’ll be fast and loose, Despite the fact my family wants me to keep her stock. Thank you for keeping hot rodding alive and inspiring many. And as a fellow Marylander, godbless, brother 😎🤘
Nice, I’ve wanting a camaro ever since my dad got his 10 SS. But iroc’s that I’ve seen in my area are the biggest piles ever. I got my first vehicle this April and it was a 94’ Chevy K1500. It had blown v6 and 5 speed but had good bones and I got it for $700. Now I’m getting my license in month and my trucks just a bare frame. I’m still actively hunting camaro’s everyday even though I can’t afford them. Don’t know if I’ll hot rod this one but maybe when I get my camaro I will.
@@83_Z28 I honestly got lucky buying my camaro, because I managed to get the guy down from 1500 to 1250, and he brought it down to my place which he didn’t have to do but personal reasons prevented me from getting in myself. I genuinely wish you luck on getting your license (I’m getting my learners permit next month lol), getting your K1500 fixed up and your search for a camaro. If you ever need help or advice on mechanical things or financial stuff you can hmu on insta if you want my @ or something
@@Flattappingarage I actually bought my truck off my great uncle and I think he gave me a great deal. It has good bones and tires that have less than 200 miles on them. I think a camaro for me is quite a ways away for me. I’m about to dump everything I have to get this truck running. I’m going to have to buy fuel lines, brake lines, body mounts, fuel pump, etc… Sometimes I think about getting a mustang but my dad would never let a ford in his driveway. I was thinking about getting a catfish camaro with the LT1 and 6 speed. I hate driving auto’s and plan on keeping my truck a stick. I may be able to sell or trade my truck for one but we’re going to have to put a lot of time into this truck and think I’m going to have to keep for as long as I can. Anyways enough about my truck. What plans do you have for your camaro?
@@83_Z28 honestly I have similar plans to what toms done to noise complaint, with a bored over v8 swap and pair it with a sturdy transmission, suspension and rear end. Then I might get decals that say “fast n loose” for the rear quarter panel. A bumping sound system, and some cragar SS wheels with wide rear tires. For exhaust I might just do a 3 inch straight pipe with side exit pipes.
@@Flattappingarage Do you plan on going LS or good ol’ small block?
Dude you are living the dream mad respect for you and your cars👊
So awesome bro, absolutely love this car. I’ve followed the build on IG for a few years and every time I see it, it never fails to make me smile. I have a 91 Chevy C1500 that I started my build on about two years ago, and your IG page played a big part in that. I love classic muscle car stuff, so I built a 4 bolt 355 for it (.030 over 350), swapped the TBI system to carb with a Brawler 650 double pumper, and swapped the original 700R4 transmission to a street/strip 700R4. I know it’s still an auto but the corvette shift servo is great😉 I still have a lot more planned for it, and it’s cool to watch you build Noise Complaint at the same time I continue to build my Chevy. Keep it up man, us youngins have to keep classic hot rodding alive!
Man you are really talented. Keep at it. I enjoy the cars you build and the videos you make
I felt like I was watching an awesome documentary of a mustang. It was 10/10. Love the story bud.
Glad to know there are more kids like us who still love to do stuff like this. keep up the good work!
This sounds so much like my mustang story and I would LOVE to hear more about it! This video is amazing.
Boyy you crazier than a road lizard. The youtube community def needs alot more content from you.
I got my First car at 15 which was a salvaged 3v mustang that fortunately my dad got it for me at the price of 2000usd. I'm 17 now and paid off the car already and now looking forward to modding the engine soon. Blessed for situations like this that you and others got to have at a young age
Fantastic job, I loved this video and your story. Rescuing an old Stang coupe and thrashing it repeatedly until stuff breaks is carrying the American dream forward for another generation... you are doing it with style! I own a 67 coupe 289; mostly stock w four speed, and now I need to do some serious power mods... You inspired me big time. Thanks for the ride!
That engines roar is just amazing, power to you man, amazing car
I’m a Canuck and I bought off my dad when I was 15 his 1967 ss 427 4spd convertible impala, it needed only a little love , and I left high school in the same manner of a smoke show , but it was more of a daily thing lol😂teachers and rcmp were pissed at me every day 😂, they were all a little jelly 😊, well my dad bought it new in 67 , it was a 390hp 427 for two years of its life , dad blew it up in late 69 , so he ordered a replacement 427 for it from Chevy and it was and still is a l-88 2nd design, it’s such a gas sucker and can wake the dead just fireing it up on a cold morning, it still pisses off all my neighbours 😂😂😂😂😂
I've always been a Mustang guy and still have two of them. This video takes me back to highschool days. Awesome man!!
One of the most badass 68 Mustang I've ever seen! it sounds amazing!!!
I started off exactly the same way, 67 289 coupe , with paper route money. Although, Im an old guy, and started in 1974. Keep up the awesome videos !!
Bro by far best thing on the channel
8:40 into the video. you looked like the main character in a movie driving that car with the music playing. a whole vibe. this was a great story and id love to see a movie about it
glad i was up at 3am to watch this, idk how you don’t have more subs this shit goes hard
one year later 3 am club ha ha ha
Im 22 and bought my 1970 stang a few years back. Cool to see this!

Bought a 66 mustang for $1, 500 when I was 15.. awesome story! Mercia!!! Keep up good work👍🏻
Man you motivated me to go out and try to fix my mustang as soon as possible! Great video, keep up the good work partner 🤠
I found your tiktok a few months ago and I’m so glad I did. You make some hilarious content on RUclips as well as tiktok, keep it up man!
"Noise Complaint" is fantastic, brother. Keep it up, she sounds amazing.
Man, I really love your channel, your humor it's really something else, I hope I get to do something like this when my son grows up, I never had the chance to do something like this (my father is still looking for the cigs he likes).
Just when I'd thought I lost ALL faith in our youth , I found this channel. Keep it up kid!
been waiting for this…. so dope that you have those old clips, especially the ones with your pops. Keep it up brother!
I was supposed to rebuild my dads old harley with him never happened good for you man your dedication paid off
I was supposed to rebuild my 86 Harley softail standard with fully built motor 3yrs ago but since it’s just sitting in storage
My man... Killed it with this video. Made me want to get out of bed and go work on my car.
Bad ass u make me cry 😢 missing my notch back 88. Mustang .Thank you Tom God bless you and family.
Kid you are living my HS dream. I was in that boat, dream car is a 67 mustang, and yes I too prefer the coupe. I had it, it was my brothers, and he gave it to me. Sophomore year when we were about to start working on the no start issue it had. We already had the T5 for the manual swap, already had rear end out of a 94 explorer so that I could have an LSD and 3.73s. Just a simple, stock 302, 5spd and an LSD for the time being. And that is when a drunk driver decided he didn’t like where we had parked the car and thought it would be better parked on my neighbors’ yard.
15yrs later and I still think about the car, have photographs of it pinned up in my garage, kept the horse and corral and still have the keys to it.
Keep enjoying your mustang kid, makes me so happy that someone got to live their HS years the way I was supposed to. Maybe one day I’ll find an appropriately priced 67 l, until then, I have more than enough project cars to keep me busy
I enjoy all of your vids , KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!!
You are the best keep going
Good to see that kids still have this available to them. That was pretty much my story just roll it back many years . 67 coupe , 14 years old . 3 or 4 engine swaps ending with a 428 CJ I still have today . Tires ? I cannot count the tires that car went through.... Fine job representing kid....
This video is fucking amazing man
9:13 Those shifts... FUCK YEAH!!
Amazing story love the car also u see u as a Whistlin diesel 2.0
This is definitely one of my favorite cars on youtube. Keep em coming!
idk what is is about classics that arent like super nice or show car level, but are mechanically sound that just seem so right.
Did pretty much the same at 15 to a 56" Chevy. So many stories and used up 8 of my 9 lives by 20. Now I'm in my 50s and my kids are grown up and about to start a second childhood with the same car. Still have it. Be safe and have fun - hope you make it to your 50's too.
Sold my fastback 25 years ago I'm praying that it ended up with somebody like you! Funny I had to do redo all my wiring the same way.
I fraken love mustangs so much man and everytime I see a video like this I love them even more
First time stumbling onto your channel and I'm glad I did...my kind of content
Genuinely had a great time watching this, not a huge fan of mustangs ( I like Camaros) but none the less I love the build it’s beautiful 💯
Loved that burnout!!
My senior year of high school, I was driving a ‘99 Honda CR-V 5 speed lol, and I still drive it in college, great little car, but I need a V8 back in my life.
I wanted to have a little fun so the day before my last day I took out the rear driveshaft to disable the AWD and used the E-brake to do the best burnout I could across the parking lot 🫡
Awesome story, you’re a hardworking dude, building cars motivated the hell out of me when I was growing up as well
kids got a dad and a heart of gold
dude i love everything about this im 16 right now and im about to get my first car its a 1976 baja beetle my grandparents are giving it to me its got a blown motor but they have another motor that i plan to rebuild by myself and i hope to be able to make a video like this one day on my beetle i love everything you've done to your mustang it looks and sounds great and i bet its even better in person keep doing what your doing bro just now found this channel and i already love it
last summer my mom bought a 1978 chevy nova, it's got plenty of rust, loud AF, and the steering wheel is from a atv, but idc cause its awesome. I'm almost 14 so I don't have the money to do the kind of stuff you did to noise complaint, but Its awesome having a car like our nova that i can learn to work on. Plus i was smiling just as much as you were when i got the carb tuned properly and took it around the block.
Love the car, style, tune and not least... Sound! 👌😍❤️❤️ Keep up the good work, take care of yourself and enjoy ! 🌹
Every single day I wish I had a dad like yours. My dad taught me how to fix cars because we had to, we had no money, my childhood was me and my dad fixing the broken down family car. But him and my step mom frowned on my love of sports cars the moment it went from hotwheels to actual cars. In fact they frown on anything I spend money on that isn't school, food, or bills. Be thankful for your family man, we ain't all so fortunate.
love the 67 body style...Awesome car young man!
Ah , beautiful way to start my morning .
bro ur literally living my dream, my dream car is a ‘68 mustang fastback in forest green with a 351 windsor or ls swap. i’m a senior and i wish i was driving a mustang at this time like you bro. sweet car
I’ve literally been following you on instagram since I was 15ish I think we used to live super close to each other in Maryland, so glad years later I found your RUclips
Great video bro it brings back many memories of when I built my 85 GT.
Sick car dude! This video was really what inspired me to start working on my 74 Camaro
So bad ass my dude. Love the videos 🔥🔥👌
10 second Tom on the come up lol!! Let’s gooo!!! First car RUclipsr I’ve been excited to watch in years. Keep it up🤘🏻🇺🇸
This was an awesome watch and true from the heart build using what you can find and afford. Great story, cool car and really enjoy your presentation style. Keep posting this type of content.
Awesome story on the car! Love it!!
Good story. My first car was a 69 Mach one 428 CJ which my dad expertly built. Ended up with a big cam, dual quads and burnt out set of purple hornys… so yeah.. it was loud. Good job. Great build.
I seen this car in one of your shorts and had to find its origin story and what kinda engine you were running thats epic man a true American story I definitely subscribed so I can see everything else you do with this car.
Awesome buddy. Reminds me of my journey with my 68 Firebird. Had to unfortunately sell it after 25 years .....
Thanks so much for the videos man. Definitely posting this one to my Twitter.
Ive been watching your shorts which led me to this video. You’re an awesome kid with drive. Your ‘67 build is actually very similar to mine except i went with a 351W. It was kinda a partner build with my best friend so when we we’re completely finished with it i sold my share to him and he kept the car and i bought a ‘79 mustang 5.0.
u luky guy, im 18 now 18 and wish i could have rebuilt a car like this, lol with oney issues nowadays don see it happening anytime soon, but nice to see a car not rot away and die. love it
Loved the vid. I didn’t even fast forward 😂. I just spent all day polishing my 68 I bought for $2200 when I was 18 (24 yrs ago). Keep up the good work!
Watching from Somerset UK real cool bro loved the way you left school legend👍👍cheers
That's badass man! Keep making noise.
i got my first car a 65 mustang I'm really lucky to have it I been working on it and learning but man its a cool experience with my dad who built a Shelby clone helping me. I got the same vibes learning with my dad watching this you learning with yours, i love your channel your awesome.
One of ur best vids so far keep it up
This absolutely cracked me up- very similar stories from my high school years with my cars (back when they were FAR less expensive).
Keep it up, young man- this is great stuff!👍🏻🤘🏻
Your smart as hell to be so young I’m proud of you man keep being you
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen it makes me so excited to get the engine back for my truck!
Dude that's sick. Great Rrestoration.
That’s sweet, I got my 67 coupe when I was 16, had it for 26 years now. Can’t wait to see what else you do with yours.
Awesome I love your work this was like a movie

This is so badass. What a great story.
This is beautiful, I almost cried
Saw that high school clip a couple months ago, so glad I found your channel bro lol gonna take some notes for my 67 cougar!
I completely understand this love. I’ve been beating on my 93 5spd Silverado for the last 25 yrs. She love to run hard everywhere and I love her for it❤️

This is easily the greatest car. What a machine. 👏👏
Sick car , keep the videos coming, binged watched all ur videos as they are hilarious 🍻
This is so bad ass bro that’s your first car don’t ever get rid of it🤙🤙
The burnout on the last day of high school was the highlighter the whole entire video I loved it do that burn out was f****** awesome and I would have loved to have been in that seat of that car that day that must have been so awesome dude congrats on that exit stay safe bud
It's almost like watching the Goldbergs. But better because now I really want a mustang.
Awesome videos.
Need someone like you to teach how to drive my Shelby. Good shit man
Bro, your a f**kin legend! Keep the hard work and them vids coming!
WoW. What a story and an amazing build. Wish I left high school like that. LoL I had a dodge caravan AWD LoL 😂 no burnouts hahahaha I removed an axle later so I could to front wheel burn outs but still not as cool
Dude I remember hearing about all that stuff on your way to school with it. And then hearing it rev across the school campus was amazing
This is very inspirational I've been looking for a project for a while and I'd like to build something just like noise complaint because it is so badass so once I get a job I'll save up and will soon be able buy myself a project
Great work mate! I love that shape Mustang.
