  • If you have watched our earlier video, "Tombs and Terraces: A Pre-Cubs Walk Around Wrigleyville Chicago" then consider this the companion piece. What did those long-dead architects, now at rest in Graceland Cemetery, actually build? What are some examples of their contributions to the skyline of Chicago's Loop district?
Gail has the answer! She'll guide us through Grant Park and the lovely Buckingham Fountain, along the wall of architecture lining South Michigan Avenue and explore downtown's cavernous streets in search of some of the best historic architecture Chicago has to offer: work by William Le Baron Jenny, Louis Sullivan, Daniel Burnham, Mies van der Rohe and Frank Lloyd Wright (although he's not at Graceland!).
And we'll cap off our walk with a hearty lunch at one of Chicago's iconic restaurants, The Berghoff.
And, by the way, it's spätzle (the egg noodle), not Spätlese (the Reisling wine) as David called it!
    Enjoy!
    David and Gail
