The hush-hush thing of the British doing the tank thing in WW1, also would be artillery and maybe called cavalry and was called a water tank when being built.

Child car seats became law in Australia on the 1st July 1985.
The best part about Race Cam is as the technology became cheaper, people started putting race cams in road cars and now we have dash cam.
Coming up with an idear is the easy part, making it work is not so hard, getting a hold on the market with an item that we lived without and in most cases we don't need.

You will note how often the CSIRO popped in this and other clip when it comes to Australian innovations. Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation is an Australian Government corporate entity. Sadly, America will never have anything like CSIRO because the US believes in small Government, less taxes and therefore far less innovation from the people for the people by the people.

    • @iambob6590

America out does us by inventions, people are just surprised by how many that they didn't realise come from us.
Small government is the way to go as large governments are far more corrupt.
As we see today as our own government gets larger and larger.
The best and most numerous innovations come from a free market.

Thank you guys for recognising Australia's contributions to innovation and invention. The truth is that the whole world is filled with innovative and creative people's, who never get the recognition they deserve. Even in the smallest, remotest village, someone is doing something amazing to help make the daily grind safer, easier, or more efficient. I respect you all. Peace world. *Salutes*

We have way more than those. We need something to do over here when we are not surfing or skiing or walking through a rainforest. Relaxing or drinking coffee. My Granddaughter is a research Scientist and she invented something that will change the world. Scientists can wait their whole lives to be published but she was published over a year ago for proving her thesis for her Bachelors Degree. She was asked to do a year of Honours and came first. In April she finishes her Masters and Doctorate Degrees, with a Double degree in Biology and another in German. In her spare time she teaches 3rd year University in Biology and Chemistry. When she graduates she will leave for Germany to work and we will give her up because the world needs her work. That is what we also do, we go to great schools that are free.

Australia didn't invent WiFi despite what some Aussies think. WiFi had already been invented but was unusable for the majority of us because by the time the signal traveled from a modem to a device it had picked up so much noise the device couldn't pick out the signal from all the noise. What John did was to keep the signal pure from noise and therefore usable. Microsoft claimed they had invented the device to make WiFi usable but John had patented his invention. Microsoft took John to court and by drawing out the court case bankrupted John but John's lawyer represented John for free and he eventually won costing Microsoft over 400M in compensation for the stealing of property rights.
