You do understand that 1. Moses wasn't a real person 2. He never existed in egypt 3. there were never any slaves of that magnitude that were mass freed from egypt 4. Therefore they were not led to the moutain foot 5. Therefore they did not receive the commandments 6. I saw this many times when I was younger and it was great except for the fact that until today I didn't know that the scene when Moses came down from the mount to find the Israelites worshiping the golden calf was wrong. The ground never swallowed them and the calf. What actually happened was Moses melted down the calf, ground it up into a powder, put it in the water, and made the Israelites drink it. Then he said for everyone that's with God to stand with him. Then he had them kill everyone who didn't. If you don't believe me just read Exodus 32:1-30

4. Therefore they were not led to the moutain foot
5. Therefore they did not receive the commandments
6. Therefore we never got the 10 commandments
If you have any resonating understanding you will see in the bible that the commandments are stupid and CLEARLY WRITTEN BY A PERSON and not by a god
if you pay attention to the wording of them it's clear that a god did not write them.

I saw this many times when I was younger and it was great except for the fact that until today I didn't know that the scene when Moses came down from the mount to find the Israelites worshiping the golden calf was wrong. The ground never swallowed them and the calf. What actually happened was Moses melted down the calf, ground it up into a powder, put it in the water, and made the Israelites drink it. Then he said for everyone that's with God to stand with him. Then he had them kill everyone who didn't. If you don't believe me just read Exodus 32:1-30
Yes. I didn't grow up Christian so knew the bible version first. It always surprises me children are led to engage with such very difficult passages. But the answer is that they're often fed corrupted versions. And it makes me wonder about the level of mis-information that we encounter as new people to the church. They call us babies, but actually... who else is actually reading the book? Not many.
Exactly! Usually if I CANNOT follow a so-called Christian animation or story I simply do NOT watch.
There are many who will NOT read the Scriptural accounts and will not understand thoroughly what really occurred and why. The Exodus passage, as well as Deuteronomy. (Moses re-telling of the Exodus)
On tonight, however, I did watch. I do weekly Torah study (FIRST 5-Books of the Bible), and although I know the correct story, one can NEVER understand completely the vastness, power, love,greatness, etc. of The Great I AM that I AM.
