Thank you! I'm exploring programming as a hobby and this is very helpful. As I was looking into getting into programming, my head was spinning so the slow pace helped me unravel the mental knots and get me started with understanding the basics. Computer language is worlds apart from my comfortable world of psychology.

yeah... it's a hole I figure RUclips will fix one of these days... also my videos get uploaded at 720p and I have heard a lot of complaints that when people download them using RUclips downloaders that they get a much lower quality video. For my theory classes this doesn't matter, but when we push into more programming and demo based classes it will...

PHP Programming Part 1: Introduction to PHP Programming which is the best introductory video I've seen to date. Especially the fact that you should not skip because something is boring, but it all goes through at a reasonable pace so that everyone can understand chops. That you Eli speaks loud and clear. I will remember this when I have to teach others about PHP. So many thanks for your video.
    Greetings from Carsten in Denmark

You have a gift for teaching. Thanks so much for going through things at a slow and steady pace, repeating important things that need to sink in, and explaining everything so we actually understand the purpose. I am able to play this on my living room tv and actually sit with a notepad and write things out without having to constantly back track to catch something. I feel like I'm actually learning but most importantly, feeling confident that I'm moving forward in my pursuits. I raise my beer to you my good man!

Eli, you're just awesome. You teach clear, thorough, concise, accurate and you cover even all the idiosyncrasies for people like me, for instance, whose brain for some reason needs to know why "white space" doesn't matter when coding in HTML, and stuff like that. Some teachers skip all the "little stuff" not realizing the little things are important and covering thoroughly all the little things covers most types of brain wiring in individuals . Love, love the way you teach! Now on to PHP!!!

The same book Eli is talking about believe it or not, if you run a google search like I did just to see how much it was, there is a free PDF of the same book with all of the pages. Just google visual quick start php for the web. If you google visual quick start, you will find a few other books on other languages also free to download. I only recommend this if you have a second device to read this off of that is not a mobile phone to use as reference (laptop and desktop etc).

I have been working with electronics since point to point on vacuum tubes - I find the new products are great by begin able to put components together, and then use programming to make them do what is desired. I am new to PHP, but have background in Fortran, Access VB. Your approach would have made my initial learning so much more efficient. It take time to learn any language. Besides, its fun!
